ALA Posted January 23 Posted January 23 Still need to see 4 BP nominees but of the 6 I've seen I think Barbie is my least favorite, and I loved Barbie strong films this year 1

TaylorNation Posted January 23 Posted January 23 the Maestro nominations annoy me so ******* much… it’s so unashamed in how awards baity it is. of course the nominations are not a surprise but I wish academy voters weren’t so gullible and stopped nominating **** like that 4 minutes ago, Darkgalord said: Justice for Greta. It's the only snub I'm upset about. which one sis?? they both deserved to be there 1

Donquizote Posted January 23 Posted January 23 Miyazaki will snub Oscar again this year. I wish Legend would attend
harwee Posted January 23 Posted January 23 Annoying that Gerwig didn't get a nom. She more than eerned it last year. I gues BD will always be straight white men's party and what they deem to be important films (war and epic dramas) 2 2

Would have replaced Glazer for Gerwig or Celine Song though.
X~MoviePoP Posted January 23 Posted January 23 The color purple snubs annoy me. Im also annoyed at halle for not promoting her song sublission on tiktok or anywhere. Like i understand your pregnant but girl...promo is promo 1
Blue Monday Posted January 23 Posted January 23 Margot being the Gaga of this year was not something I was expecting. Happy that May December could manage at least one nomination; the script is phenomenal. Sad Greta missed out but that director line up is crazy stacked; at least Justine made it through. Anatomy of A Fall over performing was a nice surprise. NYAD sneaking in two acting nominations is a joke. 2

TheseThingsHappen Posted January 23 Posted January 23 Greta Lee deserved. What a snub. Can't believe All Of Us Strangers and Saltburn were completely snubbed too! America Ferreira's nomination is... a choice. So happy to see Godzilla Minus One bagging a nomination for visual effects. So deserved! Hope Cillian is winning for Best Actor in a Leading Role. Such a fantastic actor.

But the rest is still lacking diversity in the type of films directors get nominated for. I thought Celine and/or Gerwig should be in there. 2
perfillusion Posted January 23 Posted January 23 We love to see Justine Triet scalping Greta. Shocked the Academy recognized ACTUAL female talent omg. 2
Alex21kw Posted January 23 Posted January 23 Greta Lee Rosamund Pike All of us strangers Boy and Heron for Score Are the snubs I'm upset about 1
zoldyck Posted January 23 Posted January 23 (edited) Margot snub seems worse than even Gaga in HOG and Viola in women king. Barbie was the highest grossing of that year, movie was acclaimed, it is contender in multiple categories, literally supporting actors of movie made it, it is nominated for Best picture. In comparison, HOG received mixed review, it was vilified by twitter, press tour generated some negative buzz. It was not a contender outside costume, hair and make-up and best actress category. snubs ranking where actresses made it to Big 4, but missed Oscars. 1. Margot 2. Amy Adams 3. Gaga 4. Viola * This is not ranking of their performances, but how weird the snub is, considering everything. Edited January 23 by zoldyck 5
Gui Blackout Posted January 23 Posted January 23 I'm genuinely shocked at Margot's snub? I don't understand
