Everything Everywhere All at Once wins Best Picture

A horrible movie. Literally a movie for Rick and Morty stans and people who want to watch superhero movies, but think they are too wise and mature for them. Waiting for Oscars 2024 to redeem themselves after this mess, maybe they'll now finally award a movie for its merits instead of the narrative.

A joke.

Don't get me wrong, I'm more than happy to see minority actors and actresses who've been working for years and years finally get their flowers.

But this film was truly painful to watch. The concept makes more sense on paper... But IMO, it was horribly executed. The humor was bizzare and childish. The constant flashing effects and editing style gave me a headache. I couldn't grasp what was going on without having to read the plot on paper.

How this got critical acclaim and swept the Oscars... I'm truly mindblown.

The first act and a half is honestly brilliant, like actually great. But then the rest of the film happens...

the joke here really is that u cant follow this fairly easy to follow film....

an incredibly moving plot, creative and fresh humor, sensational/mesmerizing effects and an all around deeply moving experience -- this movie is truly a groundbreaking cinematic experience.

just because it is too complex and unique for your brain to grasp, doesn't mean you need to try to drag every aspect about the movie. Just say you dont have the brain cells to enjoy and understand it like the rest of us and move on....

If hot dog fingers and d***os as weapons is what classifies as "creative and fresh" humor, the bar is truly in hell :deadbanana4:

I didn't insult anybody's intelligence who enjoyed the film. I'm entitled to my opinion just as much as much as all of you.

I didn't even find the first act to be that good cause it's so obnoxious with all the exposition. The audience is 10 steps ahead of Evelyn so you just sit there waiting for her to figure out those quirky and edgy rules of the universe jumping like 👁️👄👁️, just get to the point already. But it's definitely not as bad as that Marvel climax that wanted to be so deep and profound with "I choose to fight with kindness" message, but they didn't even trust their "emotional" parts enough to not interrupt them with infantile and disgusting BDSM, hot dog fingers and Racacconie jokes.

You clearly don't understand why this film goes extra in that regard. It's the wow factor to get action highlight when the scenes are intense, the humor is well balanced and well timed, it came when you are needed to relax and laugh, unlike Marvel which often use humor at emotional moments.

Millions of people are genuinely convinced by the merit of this incredible film. Narrative would take it nowhere if it wasn’t for the ultra-acclaimed acting, script, editing, directing etc. If you can’t see it, the problem is you, and not literally the entire film industry, critics and general public.

Only people with a creative soul, charmingly wacky humor, troubled parental relationship and existential dread will get it:clap3:And apparently that seems to be most people.
