No? Shakira has never been a "fanbase" artist. There are plenty of artists who have more casual fans/listeners than fans who engage on tours and etc.

 

Touring is not a metric that should be analyzed solely by gross. Otherwise youre implying Taylor is a bigger global name than Beyonce which is simply not true

hon, shakira is 1000 times bigget than her in latinoamerica, Beyonce collaborated with literally the biggest artists in the world the weekend, Ed Sheeran, etc. but failed to reach the #1 spot globally in spotify. Meanwhile shakira is giving these artists their first top 10 it in so many countries. , including your fave, if you take out BL of beyonce dischography she wont have #1 in more than 10 european countries.

No, they're not.

 

Latin RIAA are US certifications with different weighting awarded to records that feature at least 51% of content in Spanish. The RIAA does not operate outside of the US.

MENA countries have bigger population in both africa and asia, so what are you saying is factually not true, shakira is much bigger than her in asia, she also outsold her in Europe and latinoamerica.

Most, if not all of the songs that have propelled Shakira globally are in English though, lol. 

 

Most of these songs have Spanish translations and even in hispanophone countries, the English version is sometimes preferred.
