Communion Posted March 13, 2023 Author Posted March 13, 2023 Yup - it's going through despite demands even from people like Al Gore that this is horrifically counterproductive.
Vermillion Posted March 13, 2023 Posted March 13, 2023 The dueling press releases for this on allowing this and blocking something else nearby I guess were deliberately confusing. I'm saddened by this and not shocked. His strategists don't tack to the Democratic base but this mythical idea of the middle regarding talking points on energy independence. It's just....the lack of political bravery on forcing a broader conversation on renewables. It's just political cynicism. Honestly the first person I'd love to hear from on this is John Kerry. But...fat chance.
ClashAndBurn Posted March 13, 2023 Posted March 13, 2023 I remember ANWR drilling was the crown jewel with regards to oil production pursued by the Bush Administration and environmental activists fought hard against it. Now that Joe Biden's in charge... silence. Even after it came out that he may be responsible for the single largest ecoterrorism event in world history by bombing the Nordstream pipeline. Our world is truly ******. Especially if "activists" can only be bothered to activate when a Republican is in charge despite Democrats being the ones to cause the most damage.
RunUpDoneUp Posted March 13, 2023 Posted March 13, 2023 Something something, "the economy" something, something, "this is the day he became president. "
Communion Posted March 14, 2023 Author Posted March 14, 2023 Exploiting the Secretary of the Interior being a Native American woman to defend this move as PR is a truly GHOULISH move, especially given that she brazenly lies in the video she's been pushed to record.
bad guy Posted March 14, 2023 Posted March 14, 2023 How is no major news outlet calling him out for this? Despicable.
