Anything come out of it? I'm just wondering what actually happens if someone does that and if it's taken seriously or not given any attention

If you report their post usually it’ll get closed and nothing will come of it because like really.

But if there is a serious issue you can always message Lee!! and I and we will deal with it if you don’t feel comfortable submitting a HR. Anyone who’s come to us privately never has their name revealed and we typically address it immediately.

And they got away with it? Woah. I always thought that mods shouldn't stan for any popstar because bias comes thru, they need to be neutral.

I think once out of pettiness that I got a WP for telling someone “worms for brains”, but then saw one of them calling a member a “******* moron”

:hoetenks:

I've seen this too, lol. One mod in particular. :)

OT: Mods are regular ATRL users with a title, they're not important sis. Let's get back to posting :fan:

I’m sure there was a mod who actually did get sacked because so many people complained about them.

no i have a feeling it would backfire big time

No but I have seen people who I consider to be problematic get promoted TO a mod. :deadbanana2: I guess ATRL is more like the real world than I though. :cm:

That was "Reinvention".

Monsters targeted him because he was a Madonna fan, and complained about him being bias / "wrongfully" (lol) giving them WPs (even though he gave them to anyone breaking the rules). Now he's gone the moderation team is full of biased mods, which is why the most problematic ATRLers are still running around doing what they like today.

OT, I've been very tempted to speak to someone about one that goes way overboard with the WPs, but it probably wouldn't be taken seriously unless there's a lot of complaints.  I think @MrLovettis having problems with the same mod, actually.

The mods here are corrupt and everyone knows. I recently got a WP and banned from posting because a mod lacked reading comprehension and misunderstood my post. But then again, imagine being a mod in a place like this :rip:

yeah the bias will never get fixed on a pop culture forum like atrl. especially not the bias of current mods because they also have huge fanbases stanning the same people to back them up on this forum. said bases have already been named on this page

Never but why bother since those reports won't be taken seriously and get swiftly delete in the HR :michael:

We all know the mod team has many problems.  It’s common knowledge that they will issue WPs for comments that do not break the rules if they are about their fav.  But there is nothing that we can do about it.  Even if the mod is in the wrong, reporting them is more likely to get you banned.

We are probably having issues with the same mod.

I'm not going to act like I'm some perfect angel, as I've certainly participated in 'light trolling' in retaliation from time to time. However, in my nearly 8 years on this forum, I think I've been banned once? And that was at least 5 years ago. But the same mod routinely warns me in instances that certainly don't warrant it - for example; I called them out on their actual trolling in a Shania Twain thread and they then immediately warned me for trolling. :skull: When nothing in my comment could even tangibly be linked to the requirements for a trolling warning. My HR was never responded to, shocker. On multiple occasions now, they've forgotten to hide their name, so it came up that they were the person warning me.

I also reported a certain fan base being openly racist towards my fave and I was essentially reprimanded in a reminder to "not antagonize an entire fanbase when you send a report. Especially when the mods are a member of that fanbase as well. Doesn’t make us want to work with you that much." Not overly sure how my private report was antagonising an entire fan group when they couldn't see it, but I'm hardly surprised that mod was more upset that I was calling out the racism than acknowledging the fact that the fan base they're a part of was committing it.

I was going to message Ryan directly (like he mentioned above), but I know he's dealing with a lot personally and I just felt like it paled in comparison tbh.

I saw a mod recently state that "trolling isn't allowed on the forum" when we all know that it's trolling they disagree with that isn't actually allowed. Because there is a troll thread open towards my fave right now, that is created in retaliation to another thread and where the OP openly stated they created it to troll the Hive. :skull: Which directly violates the trolling rule. My report (and I'm sure other people's) has been disregarded.

At the end of the day, this is a pop culture forum. It's annoying that the mods are biased, but I don't really care that much in the grand scheme of things.

I remember when Liddos attacked the only mod that was a Madonna stan and he ended up getting banned or fired. Reporting a mod will likely get you no where due to them being bias. I mean, just look at all the troll threads that stay open for certain artists but locked immediately for others; the answer is clear - the mods run the show.

That being said, there are a couple mods I really enjoy that definitely seem fair.

Not the girls trying to rewrite history in here when reinvention was constantly downplaying racist posts :biblio:

Anyway rumour has it he wasnt even fired, just demoted to shadow mod

Yes. It was a Skyrim mod. I reported it because my pc was lagging because of it.
