I agree about Dance the Night. I'm ready for something more fresh for DL3. LOVE DIVE came at me hard and fast. It's so good. 

 

As long as they stick to quality and not quantity! We need to continue the fun and good animated movie trend.

Surprised to see your Dirty Grandpa score be pretty high  I remember that one getting wildly panned nnn. || A mashup getting love this time around, interesting  Never Really Over did some heavy lifting on that one I'd say. Now the mashup w/ Dagny's "Love You Like That" (which NRO samples) in the recommendations ate.

Memorial day weekend did a lot of heavy lifting that week! This next update is very much the opposite.  Dirty Grandpa was stupid, dirty funny in a way that I was not expecting. Both appalling and hilarious. I can see it being polarizing. And I love me a good mashup! There are also a lot of good edited covers out there. Maybe they'll show up here one day.

I feel like Mission Impossible is the same way, but I've also never seen a Mission Impossible movie.  Vin Diesel said the final movie is a trilogy? So I don't think they're over yet. And agreed, that second part goes hard!

Now wait I love Mission Impossible  The first is okay & the second isn't great (widely agreed to be the weakest) but after that things REALLY take off. magic is cute, can't say it's one of my favorites from Chemistry but I like it  skip this part + chemistry (song) are still the only 2 tracks that are just okay to me. Finally I can say I enjoy Olivia Rodrigo w/ vampire  Great track and lead single. Wasn't able to enjoy anything else from her aside from brutal.

Magic is my favorite I'd say. I'm also lukewarm towards chemistry and skip this part, not much repeatability for me. Vampire really slayed me. It was in my head for days after.

 

There's another cute, heartwarming, and kind of mindless comedy that I watched today too that'll be on next week's list.   Feel free to DM if you want a spoiler to what it is.

Both songs  down to you is one of my faves from Chemistry, and Heaven is lovely.

GOTG3 was very enjoyable, a nice (possible) ending to the trilogy. We've already discussed Nimona  The Blackening is something I've had my eyes on but I only just heard about The Out-Laws like 3 days ago when my mom was watching it She said it was hilarious but the reviews are... very low, even for a Netflix original  and I already have a pretty bad relationship with those in the first place.

Two cute, solid songs. 

GOTG3 was better than I expected, and honestly, it should end there. It was a solid close to all the stories. The Blackening and The Out-Laws were both entertaining. I'd say take them for what they are, because it doesn't go further than that, but for mindless watches.

Oh 80 for Brady, my mom has mentioned that to me as well  you 2 actually have really similar taste nnn, at least in comedies. I've heard that it's cute but I fear it's not the type of movie I'd enjoy  It's nice to see at least one person watched Bird Box Barcelona, didn't know it existed until days ago and I was baffled that it made no noise after the OG did so well. Asteroid City panned, oop!

It's true, it's true. :jimin: Yeah I've seen some people's thoughts on The Blackening and it seems like most just think it's okay/cute but it should still be enjoyable enough. I'll likely save it for my October lineup now that I think about it.
