Carrie Underwood - "Out of That Truck"

I really wish Carrie’s label would do some auto play payola ala Sabrina, Steven, and Niall to give this attention. I know it’s useless but I think this is exponentially more likely to take advantage. It’s very pop-friendly too.

Or at least do SOMETHING. This isn't even on Hot Country.. which has like 1/10th the reach of something like TTH but they're so anti-streaming for some reason.

Never thought I'd miss the old label..

Any word on when/if they’re sending this to radio? They would be dumb af to not push this

Posted

Not bad digital sales for a random drop.. doesn’t seem like her team is gonna do anything with this though lol

They're probably not going to do anything with this. Think they're still occupied with Hate My Heart, which has been stuck in the same position for ******* WEEKS now. If they do end up doing something with this, I'm all for it.

Her team changed the banner on facebook back to Hate My Heart...SMH

The way this is only 15k daily streams away from Hate My Heart with zero playlisting

HMH is stalling af. They need to push it into the top 20 and then forget it and push this. They CANNOT let this summer smash get away.

Out Of That Truck now has over 300k views on Youtube. More views than over half of the Denim & Rhinestones album. Time to move on from Hate My Heart me thinks.

Spotify update two days ago:
"Out Of That Truck" (@carrieunderwood)
2,707,641 streams [+78,801]

Yesterday:

"Out Of That Truck" (@carrieunderwood)
2,852,043 streams [+144,402]

It was just added on the “Hot Country” playlist on Spotify.

Yeah, if this was added to that playlist then it’s going to be a single. Hopefully they announce the deluxe version of D&R and then officially send it to radio.

"Out Of That Truck" (@carrieunderwood)

3,005,038 streams [+152,995]

Passed 3 million streams! We stan a summer bop!

Hate My Heart has *literally* been stalled at #22 for like 2 weeks now. They need to move on.

Can someone explain what is the point of this fake video video?

:heart2:

Two months late but as of now it’s at a very healthy 8.6 million+ streams on Spotify prior to a push outside of the Hot Country Playlist.

I hope so. The project has good bones, but 3-5 new songs properly integrated in the existing tracklist could do wonders.

Impacting date: 6/5! :WAP:

Gosh. Her manager suck. They absolutely suck and Capitol Nashville are failing her, too.

Her management has failed to properly promote her for over a decade and while Arista Nashville were not perfect, they at least had some kind of invested interest in Underwood. Capitol Nashville have done nothing. Two music videos (barely) per album, a "live" video and then maybe a bonus. But this era has been a complete and utter MESS! They keep launching the lead singles months prior to the album's release, and don't even provide a second single before the album comes out.

Took long enough. I think they waited too long, but this should test much better on radio.

They need to make an interesting video instead of her just standing around a truck singing.

They need to also promote this properly on streaming services and send it to at LEAST Hot AC as well as country.

They will do none of these things.

I’m glad someone else finally mentioned it. I feel like this song has such crossover appeal but as you said, they will do BARE minimum for it.

I’m glad it’s going to at least get that small chance at being a summer hit, it’s perfect for the season.
