People need to get into Megan Moroney her truth omg. Only discovered this ablum a few weeks ago, my fave of 2023 I fear.

I love the humour in her writing - the addition of "and I still want the Dawgs to win" at the end of Tennessee Orange, or the over-explanation of "just another way to say this ain't love anymore" in Kansas Anymore, after building up that metaphor throughout the whole sing. Or the way the more you listen to I'm Not Pretty you realise the entire story is made up in her head, insecurities projected onto a stranger and she herself is the one "zooming out, zooming in, overanalysing".

The vocals, the lyrics, the melodies, we have to stan.

Such a perfect sing.

The way She sings "What do you say when you leave? I'll start with 'it ain't you, it's me'" scratches several itches in my brain
