"Love to Love You, Donna Summer tells the extraordinary story of disco queen Donna Summer through a rich archive of unpublished film excerpts, home video, photographs, artwork, writings, personal audio and other recordings that span the life of one of the most iconic performers ever to shake a room to its timbers. From her early career with Giorgio Moroder in Germany, to later years more focused on spirituality and family life as a shelter from troubles associated with both notoriety and intimate wounds, her story is all the more special for being told in the first person – both singular and plural."

I got to go to the premiere at Berlinale this week. It's so good. Can't wait to watch it again on HBO Max!

The Queen of Music. I can't wait.

I feel like she's finally been getting more credit over these past few years. Prior to that, it was almost like her legacy was completely forgotten. :deadbanana:

Don’t know that much about her so I’m  excited to watch

coming from a site that only cares about charts not arts you'd be surprise at how many users here are quick to be ignorant or erase the impact, influence and success of female artists just because they're not in right now like MPG is a title not a phase lol

Fascinating documentary :clap3: Didn't know about that abusive boyfriend she was with before marrying her second husband.  And of course they mentioned that homophobic comment in the 80s during her born again Christian era that pretty much followed her for the rest of her life. :gaycat7:A very interesting watch and the amount of hits used in the film :clap3:
