When geographically challenged Americans get upset when people laugh at them for thinking Scotland is in the Himalayas, their standard retort is often "Well I bet you don't know the states of America". So it got me thinking, ATRL how many states can you name?

California, Oregon, Washington, Montana, Idaho, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nevada, Iowa, Minnesota, Michigan, Kansas, Arkansas, Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado, Utah, Illinois, Ohio, New Mexico, Arizona, Louisiana, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Hawaii, Alaska, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, Tennessee, Kentucky, New York, Maryland, Pennsylvania, New Hampshire, Vermont, Maine, Connecticut, Massachusetts… Can’t remember the last 8

Also, there's a big difference between states of the USA and a country like Scotland, there's no correlation in this. Maybe you could ask us to point where Guam is, which I can, but I guess most Americans wouldn't be able to do it either way :eli:

Pacific Islands are my geographic weak spot :gaycat6:

Eh, if we're going off the Zara video, the better comparison would be to ask non-Americans to name regions since Scandinavia being a region of countries and not a country is what appeared to stump the interviewers.

Ie: Asking Europeans to point out a map what states make up Appalachia, the Mid-Atlantic, etc.

I’m American and just checked and could only remember 45/50 :noparty:
