Well she isn't. Not even sure 2 out 10 people you would ask in the street would know her name, and even less list one song. She probably benefits the most of the globalization of social medias, if you look at the way Midnight ranked really great for her at its release.

Yeah sure :rip:

Also, Midnights was certified Gold in less than 3 months, way faster than Chromatica & Renaissance, for example, so it didn't just do good "at its release".

They're slowly converting to Taylor :clap3:

Getting certifications doesn't mean you're famous in a country. I'm from there so I can tell you, Taylor Swift is not famous in France, as said, she's known from a minority and probably the youngest. Look at the French charts and you can tell the same about who's the most stream artists : mostly French urban and rap. Highly successful but if you ask people above 40, they would not know them. Culture has become a generational niche with streaming.

And there's one reason why Taylor has never stopped since Speak Now World Tour (which was not even sold out, if I recall barely 50 % sold and not even a big venue). I think with Midnight she can def think to do a stop, and good for her. But let's not pretend she's famous there.

:ahh: I am French too and I can tell you are saying bullshit :dies:

Not a 2011 tour date being used against her, when she was a country artist unknown here :dies: Her status has changed ever since and more than once. Funny how you would rather talk about a 2011 date than the Nîmes date in 2020 :skull: In the end, Midnights opened with bigger numbers than big local acts + international acts, don’t like like no one knows here because we don’t care about 70yo grandmas not knowing her.

Well maybe because 2020 tour never happened so how would you even use that as an element in your demonstration? Anyway, you seem to refuse reality so there is not point arguing. I leave you to your world where Taylor Switf is a major musical act and celebrity in France. Sure.

Wait I thought it was at 21,000 units in France or something and it was even featured in that article about internationally huge albums underperforming in France published by the SNEP :deadbanana4:

This probably means that the album sold another 29,000 units in the past 2 years, which is really impressive considering it only sold 21,000 in its most lucrative first 1.5 years. Taylor said longevity and not quick little peaks :gaylorcat1:

Because it was canceled it wasn't sold out? :dies:

Someone irrelevant in France is the girl in your avi (not a flamebait, just an example), not Taylor Swift :rip:
