The low standards for P!nk these days are crazy.

This is a woman who was on Beyoncé’s level success wise in the 2010s and suddenly 50k is good for her while Beyoncé did 300k :skull:

It's good after seeing the first day streaming numbers :rip:

Should have been clearer, yeah.

Liberation had tour bundles and that was also half a decade ago. Xtina's last project debuted with 4K copies.

Are you telling me that Christina would achieve first week sales like those if she was to release an album this year and in this reality

I love how the slightest mention of Christina has users TRIGGER so badly to write novels :deadbanana4:

Is this a novel to you? Perhaps a few sentences are too much for you to read?

P!nk's lead single peaked at #99. No one was expecting better numbers than this.

She's doing better than expected

Why was Xtina mentioned here in the first place? Y'all set her up every time.

I hardly wrote a novel.

I would have replied to that comment regardless of who the artist mentioned was, it has absolutely nothing to do with Christina.

P!nk's villain era is here

Pink used to be huge and has fallen off hard. It’s sad to see all the 90’s and 00’s acts struggling.

How boring. I miss tour bundles. **** streaming

She deserves it for not even caring about putting effort into the music. I wouldn't either considering she makes like 100x more money by touring instead of selling music :toofunny3:

I don’t understand what’s not clicking? I would have replied to that user regardless of what artist they mentioned. Comparing an album from 2023 to one from 2018 is ridiculous. I don’t understand why you seem to think I have any deep feelings about an artist I haven’t listened to since 2006. :rip:

You said it. In the 2010s. It's 2023 already, times change. Bey doing 300k was amazing and beyond expectations anyways, only OBHs try to drag those awesome numbers.

I haven’t listened to Christina since she dropped Back to Basics in 2006, but apparently I’m perched at the opportunity to talk about her because somebody brings her up in a thread that has nothing to do with her. :gaycat6:

Shakira, Britney and Beyoncé have all scored scored Top 10 hits within the past 6 months. P!nk is selling out stadiums (as is Beyoncé, obviously). Most of them are still seeing success one way or another. It's really just a couple that are completely over.

Charts are so weird this days even current Artist are doing bad numbers here some examples

Sam Smith - 39k debut

Lizzo - 69k debut

Megan Thee Stallion - 63k debut

Imagine Drgaobs - 31k debut

Coldplay - 57k debut (not a new artist but they had collabs with BTS & Selena)

Albums don't drag much attention these days anymore unless you actually bring something that gets the GP perched like Taylor, SZA, Bad Bunny, etc

Is P!nk the only female artist besides Beyonce who can do above 50k first week these days? I mean from the acts debuted around the year 2000.

maybe Britney(?

That's ok and expected numbers for P!nk, she's not a legend or has a cute fandom like Beyonce, Madonna, Taylor or Gaga to have big numbers without a current hit. :celestial5:

I mean albums. You had Alicia, Britney, Pink all getting huge numbers. None will see 100k again.

But didn’t Pink release CDs, Vinlys & music box (or whatever is called)

However 55k is decent Sam Smith is everywhere with a huge hit & it didn’t cross 50k

Yikes when you put it like that, it’s doing great.

In cases like Sam and Lizzo, it was obvious bc their success only depends on one song (and luck tbh), if they had released another smash hit at least 1 month before release the numbers would be different. (As Lil Nas) :celestial5:

I get what you mean but Britney has never dropped below 100K and honestly, who knows how much she'll do next.

beyonce's renaissance 332k

nicki's beam me up scotty 80k

carrie's my savior 73k

carrie's my gift, closer to xmas, got a 57k week (but her most recent got 31k)

yeah, decent in comparison to the field.

I still can't believe how well her Christian album debuted :rip:
