Why is every political stance you take some ill-advised, uninformed version of both-sideisms?

The New York Times is just a glorified Post. Truly  despicable

I haven't seen the facts to make a judgment

+1

I lost ALL faith and trust in left wing media, both publications and SM ‘personalities’. Headlines constantly ran on lies, misinformation and manipulation just for clicks. Unless facts are presented from the original source I’m not buying this. Sorry.

I don’t see anything wrong with the later. Very well said.

Then why don't you read the information provided ?:deadbanana4:

The ways in which the NYT is being criticized is all easily available for you to read in the links provided.

This all started off with a piece about SOCIAL transition and children's federal privacy laws to protect LGBTQ students from being abused that was so terribly mishandled in the pseudojournalistic "present all sides as inherently valid without any fact-checking" way, that you were left with:

  • Parents claiming that schools kept their kids identifying as trans from them, only for it to be revealed later in the same article that, for some parents, the trans kids DID come out to the parents, who refused to "acknowledge" the coming out;
  • These same parents making it clear their actual complaint was that federal discrimination laws that instruct teachers to affirm students' pronouns/chosen names meant that the parent "resented" how the school was accepting and she "wasn't ready to be accepting" and thus she claimed she was "being made to feel guilty" despite her just knowing she's a piece of **** parent :toofunny3:
  • Presenting it unchallenged when the parents interviewed claim they're progressive and politically diverse "yet just aren't comfortable with the 'trans thing'" only for most of the parents to be revealed to be part of some Republican-affiliated group that brings about frivolous lawsuits against school districts;
  • Present the Republicans' defense of these frivolous lawsuits, that have almost unanimously lost in court, by citing some anti-trans medical expert, and not fact-checking said expert to find out that the study they're claiming gives evidence to the theory of social contagion actually shows the opposite. :toofunny3:

You have tens of thousands of posts, it’s not my fault you perpetually act a fool in countless threads, as pointed out by others :rip:

Check the press release, which gives a detailed account of how the Times's coverage of trans issues has had a negative impact on the LGBT community.
