Why is Heat Waves that big of a hit? Outside of the intro and chorus, it's a pretty dull song :rip:

Anyway...Global Albums next. Expecting "Midnights" and "Un Verano Sin Ti" to end up very high, deservedly so. :flame: While I disagree with an anthology (essentially greatest hits) album being put alongside projects of fully new material, I wouldn't be surprised if BTS' "PROOF" makes it as well. Seems like most people are considering it as a proper album.

2022's Spotify Wrapped may provide some insight on what to expect.

"SOUR" and "=" were the second and fourth biggest albums (all-format) of 2021 respectively, so I can see both repeating. I feel a bit less confident on "Planet Her", though (which ended up at #10 last year), but we'll have to wait and see.

And honestly, I think The Weeknd has a shot of making an appearance here as well. Not with "Dawn FM", unfortunately, but maybe with "After Hours" once more.

Here's to me manifesting a "RENAISSANCE" appearance :alexz:

So they only revealed the number of streams (without including downloads) for the first three? :doc:

I'm surprised ADT isn't in the top 20

How can As It Was only be at 2.28 billion though? :skull:

I mean, I don't know how much he did on Spotify in 2022 alone but I guess at least 1.6-1.7B considering it's at 1.962B right now.

I was talking about 2022 since this is what this thread is about :ace:

But 21 "stopped having its usual longevity" a year or two before 30 dropped. And that's partly because of the Covid lockdowns but also the transition to streaming. The longevity was based on pure sales. It's only now that 21 and 25 are becoming good streaming albums. And I think 30 could find its audience in the long run too. It's the pure sales that have been keeping 30 alive on the Bb200. And I expect it to be in top 20 albums for Ifpi.

And I know this thread is about last year. But I don't want people to get stuck in there. Too many people here were quick to say that Adele is over, but she's just catching up in a changing industry.

Greatest Works Of Art is definitely top 10 and 30 won't be in the top 10 at all
