tili33 Posted February 15, 2023 Posted February 15, 2023 peaked at #11 on the Hot100... once again proving peaks don't really matter...
GoodGuyGoneGhetto Posted February 15, 2023 Posted February 15, 2023 The fact that this is and remains his only song to be certified platinum or higher in the U.S. His next biggest song after this in the U.S is barely Gold. A true one-hit wonder, but a one-hit wonder with a Gen Z Valentine’s Day classic.

It only peaked at #11 on the Hot 100 but was a #1 hit on Adult Pop radio, a top three hit on AC radio and a top ten hit on Pop radio. The soccer moms and housewives loved it, as did the romantically forlorn teens on TikTok. Edited February 15, 2023 by GoodGuyGoneGhetto

Kylizzle Posted February 15, 2023 Posted February 15, 2023 I was so disconnected from the GP / radio during this era. i've never heard of this song until now
Mr. Duff Posted February 16, 2023 Posted February 16, 2023 Such a classic, James Arthur deserved to have more hits, his vocals are insane! At least he's doing well in the UK. His albums are all brilliant!

He had a huge European hit with his debut single "Impossible", and a pretty successful era. Then he got cancelled for his being homophobic and eventually dropped from his label. He released Say You won't let go a few years later independently, it caught on and the same label re-signed him, and he peaked higher than the first time
