FailSafe Posted February 15, 2023 Posted February 15, 2023 Rihanna is the best-selling artist of the digital era and continues to have massive success with the streaming era despite her last album being 7 years ago, making her the most successful musician of the 21st century commercially. On the other hand, Beyoncé is without a doubt the most acclaimed musician this century. From her ground-breaking albums, her countless awards and of course her unparalleled technicalities when it comes to her live performances, making her the most celebrated artist of the 21st century. Are you surprised?

Eminem is the most succesful musician of the 21st century commercially and Taylor Swift the most successful musician who debuted in the 21st century. I don't know what "most celebrated" means. If it's your opinion then fine, if it can be measured objectively I would like to know how.

Beyoncé is the most awarded artist of the 21st century (the 2nd most awarded of all time after Michael Jackson), and she is the most acclaimed female artist of the 21st century. I think that’s what they meant by “most celebrated.”

But that would put BTS, Ed Sheeran and a bunch of other people in the top positions without being exactly what I would call 'acclaimed'. Unless 'awards' just means 'Grammys'.

Beyoncé is the most awarded artists by the Grammys, VMAs, BETs, Brits (international), and a few others I can’t think of off the top of my head ASCAP I think. No one is really close at all.

I said that deciding who is the "most acclaimed" artist by the number of awards they receive leads to a very weird ranking which seems more a popularity ranking than anything else.
JorgeM Posted February 15, 2023 Posted February 15, 2023 Taylor is the most selling artist that debut in 21st century (Eminem the biggest artist overall in the century) stop with the desilusion because Taylor has moved 30 M units more than Rihanna
PrudenceHCharmed Posted February 15, 2023 Posted February 15, 2023 Correct me if I'm wrong but most black singers are kinda hated by the GP? Beyoncé, Rih or Jay could not be successful without them being associated with illuminati & satan worshipping. On the other hand, Taylor, Adele, Britney and Eminem are revered as talented vocalist/songwriter/rapper and dancer despite them being mediocre except Eminem.

Sure, Rihanna and, specially, Beyonce are despised by the GP. It's common knowledge they are part of the Illuminati. Beyonce's last world tour had millions of people in the queue because Satan forced them.

Britney is obviously the most hated and even has association with illuminati or satanism even mk ultra Taylor and of course especially Adele dont have satanism rumors because of down to earth normal personality Beyonce is no longer girl next door, her packaging becomes aloof, which she shouldnt because she's a sweetheart offcam as for satanism, they are rumored for Beyonce or Rihanna and Britney, because they are with symbolisms in their music video. You dont expect again symbolisms to appear in an Adele ballad video, while Taylor videos are about teeny high school girl drama.

Gaga also shown as much symbolism as well but the GP are embracing her again after Joanne/SB.

Gaga is not as respected like Beyonce lol, Madonna is hated as well Whitney was not as hated like Madonna.
Starshine Posted February 15, 2023 Posted February 15, 2023 (edited) Whitney and MJ are literally the most celebrated artists ever. Whitney's vocal cords was cracked and dusted in her 40s and yet people come for Mariah who sounds much better in her 50s. Janet is not relevant enough to even get a general consensus on her, however the GP must be over the nipplegate.. much worse has happened after. MJ still has the pedo claims from the GP, but still no one is as revered as him. People tend to separate the artist from the person and he's the biggest case of that. Britney was only hated from like 2000-2007 when it was cool to hate on her, people now just give her the side eye and feel sympathetic towards her. As for Gaga, she was trending yesterday and going viral targeted by conservatives for an old clip from 2013. She's still loved overall by regular members of society, the youth, and older soccer moms/dads who loved ASIB. The only people who hate on Bey are usually conservatives in the US, Latin American Britney and Gaga stans, braindead TikTok Illuminati conspiracy theorists, and self hating black people (particularly MEN in the coast of Nigeria) who have a hate boner for unapologetic powerful women. Having that entity status like hers comes with haters, but she's still overall beloved or neutral. I don't think she's hated to the extent of Madonna due to ageist/misogynist reasons. Funny how most of the HATE overall, comes from conservatives: racists, sexists, incels who just hate women. Edited February 15, 2023 by Starshine
besaid Posted February 15, 2023 Posted February 15, 2023 Beyonce and ...Rihanna...most 'Celebrated'? Whatever that means it certainly can't be more than Taylor Swift who's at least twice the commercial size of both of them and heavily awarded in everything.

There is no other artist this century that has as much awards as beyoncé cumulatively and being the most awarded Grammys artist alone seal the deal for now
FailSafe Posted February 15, 2023 Author Posted February 15, 2023 I don't understand the people her saying that they don't understand the "celebrated" context here. Beyoncé is universally admired and beloved in the music industry, she's being thanked for, referenced, shouted out etc you name it by her peers and the generations after her whether in their music or in awards acceptance speeches. Beyoncé wouldn't be this beloved if it wasn't for the things I said in the OP (the left and right awards she's getting are just one of the reasons why she's being revered) - hence her being the most celebrated musician of the current century. She's basically the most respected musician right now. I don't know if some of you are just denial or just being obtuse.
