  1. 1. Best JAY-Z verse of the three?

    • She wanna shop with Jay, play box with Jay, she wanna pillow fight in the middle of the night
    • JAY-Z in the Range, crazy and deranged, they can't figure him out, they like, "Hey, is he insane?"
    • Jay, Rain Man is back with Little Miss Sunshine, Rihanna, where you at?
  2. 2. Best overall song?

Not his first 3 number 1s being all granted by women. I had no idea

Anyway Umbrella clears for both questions

Fav of these is Heartbreaker, but love all three. Not mentioned, but love Upgrade U as well.

Heartbreaker and CIL almost feel like definitive features for him. Umbrella, to me, feels like it would’ve been a strong enough song on its own, regardless of it. As would CIL, now that I think about it.

Went with Heartbreaker because that’s the best verse of the three.

Crazy in Love, but his best verse is on Umbrella.

His verse on Heartbreaker is the best. Heartbreaker is also my personal favourite of the 3 tracks

His best verse is for Crazy In Love, that flow is beautiful and Bey's adlibs in the back

Umbrella is best song especially that last chorus :jonny:

As for Mariah he has a better verse on You Got Me

I have completely forgotten what Jay's CIL verse even sounds like.

Umbrella he just does like an intro and it's kinda faceless

Heartbreaker is iconic

CIL is dated, annoying, overplayed

Umbrella is too melancholy, but great for a mood

Heartbreaker is pure bliss, and exceptionally experimental for a pop song, also Mariah's vocals are insane

This is why it's so weird when people act like Jay-Z was the reason Beyoncé was popular/successful, as if she hadn't had four number #1s with her group before he got his own first #1 song (...with Alicia Keys as his feature).

Mariah gave him the first number one so her and without Mariah, Beyonce and Rihanna wouldnt of had been inspired to start their career so she wins again LOL
