Leptine Posted May 15, 2023 Posted May 15, 2023 Finished episode 3, enjoying this so far, Shonda keeps winning @The Witch
Starkboy Posted May 17, 2023 Posted May 17, 2023 they did it again nothing is ever topping s2 with Jonathan's insane performance to me, but damn this was really good. I see tons of people praising George and his character but Charlotte aka India was the star of the show! I loved her, such a well written character and the actress was amazing. I loved even other characters little storylines like Lady Danbury, Violet, Brimsley, Augusta etc. the music didn't hit as hard as the 2 Bridgerton seasons too. Only the Halo one stuck with me.
Leptine Posted May 18, 2023 Posted May 18, 2023 Really loved this, lowkey better than the first two main seasons @The Witch

Right now my ranking is QC ---> BS1 ---> BS2. (While the chemistry between leads is pretty much even between S1-S2, the world-building aspect of S1 puts it over the edge for me. Also, if they want to pull an Elite: Short Stories and share a non-linear story in between each subsequent Bridgerton season, I would love a series on Edwina Sharma & her potential coupling with Prince Friedrich, as well as one on how Brimsley & Reynolds grew apart. If they're really desperate down the line, maybe the Cowpers get an origin story too?

Interesting! I guess they would explore her upbringing further, how she met Edmund, and their subsequent love story. I'm here for it.
Alex21kw Posted May 26, 2023 Posted May 26, 2023 This was surprisingly good and moving! Better than the original for me
TeamThiem Posted May 26, 2023 Posted May 26, 2023 Male lead being naked in every episode while the female lead covered up was refreshing
Desire Posted June 1, 2023 Posted June 1, 2023 Finally finished and this is officially my fave from the universe. That ending scene made me cry QC ---> BS2 ---> BS1

Much better writing, and this season proved why Queen Charlotte & Lady Danbury were always some of the best characters in Bridgerton They dealt with the topic of mental health very delicately I thought. Reveal hidden contents I loved that Charlotte stuck with George until the very end and that final scene was too cute for words. The footsmen Brimsley & Reynolds are gay couple goals They loved & bickering like a married couple. I'm glad Shonda actually listened to the queerbaiting complaints of season 1 & the queer erasure of season 2 by writing a lovely little side story here. Now did Reynolds die or not? Interesting how Agatha & Violet decided to leave Agatha's affair with Violet's father unspoken. Looks like it won't affect their friendship much. I totally understand why Lady Danbury rejected Charlotte's brother's marriage proposal but loved that Charlotte was willing to help her afterwards. Every single one of George's butt shots Corey Mylchreest is a star. Gagged at seeing Michelle Fairley aka Catelyn Stark as George's mother on here That’s cus Shonda wrote this Harkens back to the early seasons of Greys.
