Nano Posted February 14, 2023 Posted February 14, 2023 Stuff like "that guy's not hot he's just white" and "white mediocrity". We get it, you're bitter.
ninasayers Posted February 14, 2023 Posted February 14, 2023 Not shocked to see you're the one posting this. Idk if you're being serious or just trolling but this is not it either way.
Mr.Link Posted February 14, 2023 Posted February 14, 2023 What’s tiring is the double standard. Racism is bad in any form or shape. People shouldn’t be allowed to casually use “white gays” or “white people” jokes in any context, it’s just flamebait for hate. I would understand if the person in context was an obnoxious Karen but most of the times it’s totally uncalled for and unrelated.
fentypark Posted February 14, 2023 Posted February 14, 2023 i’ll never understand why y’all wanna be victims of oppression so bad
Scott Borchetta Posted February 14, 2023 Posted February 14, 2023 Never change Britney Spears stans, never change…
sourtwink Posted February 14, 2023 Posted February 14, 2023 girl you are going to get eaten alive for this but i’m not even white and i’m exhausted by everybody (including straight people and queer women) talking about how much they hate “white gays” when what they really mean is that they hate gays but are trying to cover it up with wokeness by putting “white” in front of it but then if a gay says even something slightly shady about a woman suddenly all gays are ragingly misogynistic evil pigs who are worse than straight men
JohnWayneHolland Posted February 14, 2023 Posted February 14, 2023 I am not tired, in fact I think there should be more of it.
Big Bad Wolf Posted February 14, 2023 Posted February 14, 2023 The backlash And that guy was NOT hot. He was just WHITE, and some of you will lust after any white man. Periodt
HausofArtpopII Posted February 14, 2023 Posted February 14, 2023 (edited) what about all the casual anti-poc and specifically anti-black racism on here? anyways... Edited February 14, 2023 by HausofArtpopII
byzantium Posted February 14, 2023 Posted February 14, 2023 I think it is a little degrading of actual issues with racism that people on this site use it as trivial flamebait. …but then I guess some fanbases need to dig a little too deep to troll.
swissman Posted February 14, 2023 Posted February 14, 2023 maybe you're not getting what people are saying when they say those things. "he's not hot he's just white" this is addressing white beauty standards that have been enforced on society for hundreds of years which has allowed white people to get away with a lot less "traditionally attractive" things and still be deemed hot. ["traditionally attractive" itself is another area full of biases but that's another discussion]. "white mediocrity" this is actually again, a reference to the fact that Black people and people of colour don't usually get to be mediocre. It's the reverse of "black excellence" which is meant to be empowering but also can be limiting. In fact, much of the "anti-white racism" exhibited by people is actually a commentary on the way Black people are treated, or a return of the treatment in such a way that without the systemic forces backing it up, is merely counter-culture and has no true harm. There may be disdain, eye-rolling, or assumptions made towards white people, but that has no real negative result. This is not ***-for-tat, either. It is is for the most part reaction-based. To call this "racism" in the true sense is greatly stretching the truth. Any white person who is too hurt by such things should re-evaluate why, and try and figure out if it's actually harming them or they just don't want to accept what it means that a group of people that have been previously marginalized are reacting to it.
Polgg48 Posted February 14, 2023 Posted February 14, 2023 (edited) rarely i post on lounge, useless section causes more obnoxious threads and stain to the site beside random thought. it's late state of realization, you gonna hate it but inevitably only choice left and joining the winning team... swiftie ot: one reason i dont wanna socialize on this site too, to ease their own narrative and silly child play for me. however, i mostly disagree on your take Edited February 14, 2023 by Polgg48
ontherocks Posted February 14, 2023 Posted February 14, 2023 If anybody irl refered to me as "generic white" or "white gay" or whatever I'd just laugh . The truth is that you have the right wingers on the one hand, who will be proud of their aggressive ignorance, but upset and offended if anybody mentions the colour of their skin in a not so positive manner. And on the other hand, you'll have the ultra lefties that try to lecture you about your priviledge and why such things being said to you or others are totally fine. Irl however, this is not how you treat ppl. Treat everybody with respect and dignity and if you don't, take the consequences. Life can be so easy sometimes.
suneclipse121 Posted February 14, 2023 Posted February 14, 2023 Bitter Of what exactly??... Someone enlighten me please
