Why are people not taking the current UFO incidents seriously?

Is this the 1970s? We have more serious **** actually happening in the world for us to care about conspiracy theories and science fiction.

Maybe they'll just watch us for entertainment like we're zoo animals.

Oh the Zoo Hypothesis as well as the Fermi Paradox are very interesting subjects to read.

I’m guessing it’s because it sounds like yet another psyop/false flag operation orchestrated by the American government to set a stage. Most of us are aware of the war going on and the weapons/artillery being exchanged between countries. We as Americans don’t want to get involved, but our government will find ways to get us involved. Be it with Russia, China, Iran etc. There’s a lot going on rn.

Besides  they’ll tell about this on Fox News and then move onto a segment about M&M characters shamelessly promoting wokeness or Sam Smith grooming our children. Nothing can be taken seriously in the US anymore.

If these are indeed alien UFOs, what exactly do you expect us regular, non-military humans to do against such a highly advanced force besides laugh at the absurdity of it all?

I think they probably shot down Chinese (or some other's country) flying object but don't want to escalate things so they just pretend to be dumb and act like they have no idea what it is so other government who is spying USA doesn't get pissed. I would love for them to snatch actual aliens but even if they did, it would be top secret tbh

Yes, I think it's worth thinking about what sort of civilization would be able to become interstellar long term. I think the likelihood of an advanced species depleting its planet of resources, or destroying itself from war is relatively high. With less advanced species they tend to lack the power to do such things but with more advanced species the likelihood is higher.

And then the advanced civilizations from other planets could also wipe out other advanced civilizations from different planets, especially if they're too passive (think all the species on earth that were living on isolated islands without predators that were too docile/fearless and went extinct when humans found them and started hunting them ex Dodos).

So they shouldn't be too docile or fearless or they might not even survive on their own planet (think tigers and wolves wiping us out in the Earth's case), let alone after coming into contact with other intelligent life from other planets. But they shouldn't be so aggressive that they will destroy themselves out of greed and infighting. I suppose it's possible that he intelligent life would evolve towards being more peaceful over time? Still, it seems like it could be a difficult balance to strike.
