It's so funny that US pop radio is that receptive to *this song* after years of her dropping hit after hit during her prime :skull:

anywhere deserved to be so much more massive. i know it was big in europe but it needed to be a worldwide hit

Ikr but is still funny that she will manage to get a radio hit on her flop era and without the help of a major label. I wish streaming was also catching up but if even eurovision didn't helped this, nothing will imo.

promo is promo and she needs it after an unfortunate sloppy relationship with the media over the years. i hope she has some pride promo lined up because the exposure would help and gays would support her

damn they really let this obvious smash go to waste like that? :rip:

they're doing everything that they can what are you talking about? she's not on a major label anymore and isn't getting the same push or support unfortunately

I mean, they did what they could. Radio exposure, great music video, ESC performance.

It's an independent label with no streaming pull which is crucial to get a hit....

She should've stayed on a major label, but it is what it is now. The album will do horribly if no miracle happens

she needs to continue with the dj collabs because those at least get exposures that she wouldn't be able to reach now that she's with a smaller label and they usually keep her afloat

Wish they had interpolated the sample more-so in the dance break, feel like that would have improved the song (for me at least)

Still can’t get over how the UK just discard their pop girls (even though there are countless examples) There’s absolutely no reason why this shouldn’t be smashing right now.

felt like ever since the covid incident people looked at her sideways and just didn't really forgive her because she was THAT girl during her phoenix era and then bam everything after that kind of went to **** it was weird but the uk media has never been really kind to her anyways on top of that which is unfortunate

Not sure whether she had that choice or not. Her only chance at this point is something going viral on TikTok.

umm, it's not like she's some nobody when she has billions of streams. pretty confident she's still at this point in her career where every label's offer would be on her table. but she went for the one where she would have more artistic freedom

I don’t really see her choosing to go to BMG if she had major label options. She’s not stupid. It’s not like master ownership isn’t much more common now.

MV 2 is out now

Also out today the Glockenbach Remix

Her radio team serviced other remixes to US Radio: Kue Remix, Lodato Remix and Los Padres & Jay Max Remix

she obviously chose BMG to have more artistic freedom and own her recordings. she's been thru label hell since the beginnings.

if someone like Tinashe gets major label offers, then Rita sure as hell does too

Started to (finally) rise on UK Apple Music (#107 right now, first time inside the top 200).

They removed the remix from Spotify again (at least in my country) :rip:

Is it the best update so far?

Has this charted anywhere?

The Glockenbach Remix was kinda cute... fortunately I downloaded it before they took it down

this desperately needs a remix with another voice other than Rita's to truly make it pop. Use those FIRO networking skills and secure a cute feature that could make this a legitimate hit

She should be promoting this more. Think this could potentially be the hit for the album and she’s wasting it away.

The GP said no to this (and to the era so far). Eurovision + radio push ww and not even 300k daily streams? It's the first time one of her singles underperform like this since ORA days.

BMG should move on asap to any song that has some TikTok potential bc the generic capital fm radio bops she's serving it's not working, otherwise You & I era will do worse than Mabel latest album and lord knows when/if we're getting new Rita music.

I actually think

Kinda agree. She should jump on early00s R&B (FLO - Fly Girl) as it's starting to regain mainstream popularity in UK

This remix remind me of the sound in her first album - RIP f. Tinie Tempah

From what I heard, maybe the only track that can have that potential can be Waiting For You or Girl In The Mirror
