the video might help the song because it looks cute and she looks so hot at the end

That final look is definitely top 3 for Rita.

the fact that she couldn't debut inside the UK top 100 must be very disheartening for her :monkey: :skull:  I'm quiet shocked too tbh

It’s doing horrible on streaming, isn’t it? But also, I thought it did?

That’s the sales chart, not the overall chart.

Well that’s a shame, especially since it’s doing fine on sales.

sales are dead and do not contribute much to the overall consumption. Miracle at #4 on sales chart sold only 2,025.

i honestly think that she's very self aware that her window of being a main pop girl has passed. she mentioned that before meeting her husband she was having trouble with accepting that their are things that are not in the cards for her or at least for right now and wasn't ok with accepting that until she met him and that's why their relationship inspired her new record. i think as long as she gets to do what she likes she's just grateful for the platform at this point

Rooting for her.

The early US radio success is interesting / promising.

The song strikes as the sort that could build steadily into the summer and hopefully catch a wave streaming wise in the UK and beyond once it becomes omnipresent on radio.

I like that they are pushing forward with a confirmed date for the album regardless, but I'm also surprised. Because if pushing a single is proving an uphill battle, what must be the expectations for an album commercially?

That said, willing her a win of some sort. Be that surprise global success with this or US success (which would be hella ironic, given it's the one place that her success has been non-existent). Or at least a top 10 album (which is less reliant on huge streams).

Thinking about it, maybe that's what they're saving the bulk of promo for. Older audience, heavier weighting of pure sales, opportunities for signed copies, etc. Still not totally convinced she has a big enough base of core fans, but sis ought to throw everything she can.

That was her own fault for the lack of records tho. But it's ok she still can recover like Ellie, Bebe, Zara etc
