[CAROLINE WON] Caroline v. Kelela: Who will get the higher P4K score?

Question for the culture:

Indie faves and former friends-turned-enemies Caroline Polachek and Kelela are releasing their new albums "Raven" and "Desire, I Want to Turn Into You" this week, only four days apart. Both eccentric queens have had well-received singles from fans and critics, but in a battle where charts and sales are laughably irrelevant, all there is to be won is critical acclaim.

 

The "Can I like this?" bible of the chronically online, Pitchfork, is somehow still given the most weight these days, despite comical journalism and ownership by Conde Nast. Metacritic scores aside, which of these artsy gurlies is going to steal the higher P4K score?

This "feud" is so silly. Caroline was absolutely STUPID for copy-pasting the n-word but damn, what did she do to Kelela personally?

I'd say Kelela will get 8.5 and Caroline 8.2-8.3

I really think they will get about the same, I’m surprised they haven’t reviewed Raven on Friday already, idk if that’s a bad sign or no  Caroline had SOTY 2021 and BNM with Billions so she’s def getting high score too

I think Kelela possibly got BNM but they also gave BNM to Yo La Tengo, and they usually space it out instead of dropping two BNMs at the same time.

 

It should really be Kelela, because there’s no way Caroline’s album is going to be as good, but they’re obsessed with Polachek so.

The same applies to her whole discography. One of the most boring artists out there.

I can see them having the same score but i fear if someone is higher is Kelela since alternative R&B it’s getting a lot of flowers by critics lately and Caroline is an indie pop alternative artists and they are very hit or miss by critics even if the material is good
