B-Luke Posted February 11, 2023 Posted February 11, 2023 Certified 4x Platinum for 1.2m units, becomes one of the rare million-sellers for MPGs in Germany. Last updated in 2018, it has moved 300k since then. Gaga is now at 5.4m certified units in Germany. Source
naval23 Posted February 11, 2023 Posted February 11, 2023 Insane - the fact it spent 13 weeks at #1 there and 17 in the top 2 alone (to put it into context, Bad Romance spent 1 week at #1 and 17 weeks in the top 20 there)
Gagacharts Posted February 11, 2023 Posted February 11, 2023 The German certifications are Gold 200.000 and Platinum 400.000 since June 2014. Does this mean PF is at 1.600.000 or does it only count for songs released after that?

Moella Posted February 11, 2023 Posted February 11, 2023 Shallow is coming for Diamond in Germany as well crazy how she had mega global hits 1 decade apart

Bad Romance was a smash while Poker Face was a mammoth. It sold 20m 4 years before the peak of iTunes.

I'm always shooketh when I compare the chart performances of PF vs. BR While BR was huge, PF was otherworldly with not only its peak but also its longevity Poker Face: Austria: 12 weeks at #1, 22 weeks top 3, 60 weeks overall Germany: 13 weeks at #1, 17 weeks #2, 77 weeks overall Switzerland: 8 weeks at #1, 72 weeks overall Australia: 8 weeks at #1, 42 weeks overall New Zealand: 10 weeks at #1 Canada: 9 weeks at #1, 52 weeks overall European Hot 100: 16 weeks at #1 Bad Romance: Austria: 7 weeks at #1, 16 weeks top 20, 35 weeks overall Germany: 1 week at #1, 17 weeks top 20, 44 weeks overall Switzerland: 1 week at #2, 48 weeks overall Australia: 1 week at #2, 34 weeks overall New Zealand: 1 week at #2, 30 weeks overall Canada: 5 weeks at #1, 38 weeks overall European Hot 100: 2 weeks at #1

It was a year end #1 in almost every country. It also smashed here in Asia unlike most pop girl hits. 1m combined in Japan and 2.5m in South Korea. Her peak was huge Back then

But wow, PF truly is a pop behemoth
