Certified 4x Platinum for 1.2m units, becomes one of the rare million-sellers for MPGs in Germany.

Last updated in 2018, it has moved 300k since then.

Gaga is now at 5.4m certified units in Germany.

Insane - the fact it spent 13 weeks at #1 there and 17 in the top 2 alone :hoetenks: (to put it into context, Bad Romance spent 1 week at #1 and 17 weeks in the top 20 there)

Global and timeless pop classic :jonny5: :clap3:

The German certifications are Gold 200.000 and Platinum 400.000 since June 2014.

Does this mean PF is at 1.600.000 or does it only count for songs released after that?

I believe old songs are being certified under old rules, 300k for Platinum.

Both songs are perfection-tier, but Germans knew the tea with Poker GOD taking the edge

And it charted 30 weeks more (44 weeks vs 77 weeks). Bad Romance was a smash while Poker Face was a mammoth. It sold 20m 4 years before the peak of iTunes.

I didn’t know it smashed in europe that hard wow. It was a year end #1 in almost every country. It also smashed here in Asia unlike most pop girl hits. 1m combined in Japan and 2.5m in South Korea. Her peak was huge Back then

You have to consider the fact that PF was a sleeper hit, so it had an early advantage that BR couldn’t have bc it smashed out of the gate. But wow, PF truly is a pop behemoth :msmarvel:

In the European countries it wasn't a sleeper hit at all. It basically debuted in the top 10 and erupted to #1 in a month or so
