I'd say Havre de Grace, MD is pretty fascinating, and Centralia, PA is pretty depressing (but also fascinating)

Do you have any videos I can watch to see what makes them unique?

for Havre de Grace, no vids i remember but i remember being a kid who avidly read the Washington Post and this article struck me back then

I remember when I went to the grand canyon, our tour guide made Jerome, Arizona sound so interesting

The first one that came to mind for me was Helen, GA.  It used to be a logging town, and in the 1960s (iirc), they decided to revitalize its economy by turning the city into a replica of a Bavarian alpine village -- but with the Appalachians instead of the Alps.

Lots of tourists from the Atlanta area (and even neighboring states) go there to buy tchotchkes -- especially old-timey European-style Christmas decorations.  It's also a great place to do tubing in the summer, since the Chattahoochee River runs through the town and there are multiple waterfalls.  You can do ziplining, too!

I've only been there once and personally found it kind of kitschy, but that's part of what makes it so unique.  There's something really cool about being in the DEEP South and then stumbling into an "Alpine" town.

I'm posting the first video I could find on it that wasn't like 20+ min. long, but there are tons of vlogs about it on Youtube:

Key West is pretty cool. Aside from the nice architecture, pirate/wrecker history, and funky shops on main street and the most tropical climate in the United States, it also has wild chickens roaming everywhere. Like you just pull up to a shopping center and there's wild chickens strolling through the parking lot.
