Who was asking for Creature Commandos, The Authority, Booster Gold and Paradise Lost? :rip:

Idk, I'm rooting for DC but this was their chance to do a full reboot. Having two batmen at the same time is just asking to flop, and keeping some actors while getting rid of others is just gonna lead to confusion. I guess we'll have to see how it works out, very excited for Superman though.

Booster Gold is ALWAYS being mentioned everytime someone asks for a DC character movie. Especially since the Blue Beetle movie started filming.

Nobody needed Suicide Squad either and got it and it's fine. Why people keep saying "nobody asked for it"?

Scrap the whole thing and start with the Teen Titans, please.

I could see a Titans movie for early Phase 2.

DCEU Batman = Damian Wayne or Nightwing

Superman/Supergirl = Kon-El

Flash 2 = Wally West

Paradise Lost = Wonder Girl

Swamp Thing = Raven

Lanterns = Starfire

Waller = Cyborg

They can throw in Beast Boy wherever nn he's kinda the most irrelevant :rip:

I smell smelly flops incoming.

I just think there's no reason not to use Matt Reeve's batman as the DCU batman. It's not like they would interfere with his films, just use that world, its already a well received young batman starting his career. Imagine the hype when The Superman would be revealed to be in the same universe as Thee Batman in 2025... wasted opportunity.

All in all, am excited tbh. Lanterns and Superman and Supergirl look like they'll slay

Who has time for all the tv shows :doc: FFS just do one big movie every year and then see what needs to be extended  to a tv show format. This big "plan" is a mess. Thank god Robert's Batman is not part of this mess.

Because this is 2023, not 2016. The GP is mostly over DC and can barely keep up with Marvel still. I feel like if DC wants to gain back fans they need to focus on the bigger heroes. Why not a Jon Stewart movie if they care about fans? We’ve been asking for that for years

It makes no damn sense. Even if it took ten years, they should have let Matt Reeves perfect his universe while they perfected Dina and Clark and others, and then maybe down the line Matt Reeves would be willing to crossover.

Having two versions of Batman on the big screen running simultaneously is nuts

As expected, the lineup makes no sense.

First of all, they should've cut ties completely with the previous iteration of DCU because leaving the door open has more disadvantages than benefits at this point. Second of all, they should've focused on well known characters first and then moved on more obscure ones, because no one will be interested in them enough to keep the universe and its project afloat in the beginning.

Like, is it so hard to follow Marvel's lead and slowly build towards and Avengers type of movie with the Justice League after giving all its main members a movie while slowly introducing secondary characters?

The only good thing they did is putting The Batman and Joker under Elseworlds, but even that I feel like it'll backfire because of the focus it'll steal from the main DCU movies/projects.

The Superheroes fatigue is real. He better has good, good stories. Otherwise this is gonna be underdelivered. The new Superman movie is gonna be the real test.

A pedophile is running the universe. Just wait until the next DCU in about 6-7 years. The early list looks like a FLOP and not using The Batman going forward is a MESS.

I am SICK these superhero universe movies!! Keep each superhero in their own film and storyline. It's more interesting that way, allows for a richer story arc, and doesn't become convoluted with so many crossover events.

They should reboot everything and start with a JL movie with every hero already established, then do solo movies.

The first 3 episodes of the Justice League animated series and Justice League: War showed us that you can start a DC universe with a Justice League movie.

I don't understand this... he said not too long ago that it's confusing when the same character is played by multiple actors yet that's literally what he's doing? 2 Batmans and 2 Supermans, and for WHAT?! and don't justify it with the stupid elseworlds bullcrap. gp will be confused as hell by that.

this was their chance to HARD reboot the fuq out of this mess yet he seems to be keeping his whole crew? how are they going to justify some of the actors staying? so chaotic. I'm sure the movies and shows will be good (praised by critics, failing at box office, but having a cult following) and I am still willing to give them the benefit of the doubt, but I'm very skeptical :doc:

I mean, yeah, it can be done but to me it'd make much more sense to introduce all the characters first and then let them meet in a Justice League movie. If they start with all the iconic characters together already, there's no build up to the moment they'll meet to fight the big bad guy, which is what made Avengers movie so interesting and popular.

Is it a boring and predictable formula? Sure, but it makes the most sense in my opinion when you're starting to build a cinematic universe.
