X~MoviePoP Posted January 30, 2023 Posted January 30, 2023 Hes good casting BUT the actor from the musical (and the actor that was cast first but dropped out) have already shown that they can play michael
Tropez Posted January 30, 2023 Posted January 30, 2023 Will be play for the whole movie or will they get different actors to play MJ?
Tusk Posted January 30, 2023 Posted January 30, 2023 I hate biopics from musicians. It’s just them in a studio or getting ready for a tour. boring
Mtjjproducer Posted January 30, 2023 Posted January 30, 2023 That’s cool for him to play Mike in from off the wall to thriller. Hell I’ll even give him hate teens. But who the hell is playing later Michael cause they need to sub in a white actor or else this is going to be another flex Anderson situation

Michael didn’t actually turn into a white person genetically. Michael slathered himself in white makeup. Why wouldn’t they do the same in the film?

X~MoviePoP Posted January 30, 2023 Posted January 30, 2023 They said the film will address all the controversies so im sure itll go up until early 2000s atleast

Physically Michael had white skin it would make more sense to use a white actor for bad to the end of his life. they tried putting a white person in white makeup. Look up flex Anderson as Michael Jackson. **** was a mess. No makeup in the world would make a black person look how MJ looked at the later years of his life. You need 2 actors

Not confused Madonna’s was scrapped because she wanted it to be different Never heard of Five Foot Two
tiagol88 Posted January 30, 2023 Posted January 30, 2023 I'm sure this movie will do great covering up the rapes, lmao.

Beyonnaise Posted January 30, 2023 Posted January 30, 2023 (edited) There can never be a true Michael Jackson biopic. If they're having him end at Thriller, maybe. Anything after that would be He was truly stranger than fiction, it would never work. Anyone doing the voice or wearing prosthetics would look comically absurd or feel like horror, which they obviously wouldn't be going for Edited January 30, 2023 by Beyonnaise

I am very familiar with his story with vitiligo, which is an entire different conversation in itself. His skin and small patches of vitiligo were covered by white makeup in his prime. It used to melt off of him at every show in the late-80s, therefore slathering the actor in makeup would make sense during his prime years. I’m not quite sure what they’d do past the 2000s. They tried this once. First, doing so would be against his own wishes. Second, no. There are plenty of light-skinned African Americans out there. There is no reason to cast a Caucasian in the role here.

With his nephew playing him we already know it’d be the same old “greedy families lied on him for money” story if they were to get into that controversy and that’d pretty much doom the film critically from the get go and result in a Leaving Neverland 2.0 online debate that’d completely overshadow the movie. It’s not gonna happen. Not worth it if they want this to be a success and do anything remotely positive for his memory and legacy.
jdanton2 Posted January 30, 2023 Posted January 30, 2023 i like bio's and i would most likely see it. there was actually a bio in the early 90's that covered Michael and his family up until that point. that was quite good. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Jacksons:_An_American_Dream

Jotham Posted January 31, 2023 Posted January 31, 2023 I hope it doesn't end up being a damage control movie but I'm sure it will be.
Sugar-Rush Posted January 31, 2023 Posted January 31, 2023 He looks a lot like MJ for obvious reasons, but is he a good actor?
