Skip all the filler arcs. They're not worth it. But One Piece is an absolute masterpiece. The world building, character depth, etc are incredible

I wish they got Bianca Del Rio to play Buggy 

I know they can't adapt the anime caricatures 1:1 bc it just would not work but something about Buggy's character feels too theater kid and Joker-lite. Maybe that appeals to super American audiences who don't have any interest in animation though.

how's this compared to other successful netflix series? 

 

I'm scared to watch this.. live adaptations usually ruins anime..  But so far, this is getting good reviews in Asia, which is great.

I like how the aesthetic is a mix of modern and Pirates of the Caribbean/colonialism era. It’s kinda cool.

it did better than Sandman which was also expensive and got renewed so we are fine.

just finished this last night and it was actually amazing  the actors who played zoro and shanks are just too hot omg...

but the show kept you interested, even with the long episode run times. 10/10 from me. hope to get a season 2 asap
