it's cute, but for the love of god they need to stop with the camera angles right in the actors faces

Not proud to say that I haven't watched the anime.

I wanted to but got scared when I found out it had 1000+ episodes. :toofunny2:

A group of fans created "One Pace", a filler-free version of the anime with fixed pacing. you may want to check it out

Quote

One Pace is a fan project that recuts the One Piece anime in an endeavor to bring it more in line with the pacing of the original manga by Eiichiro Oda. The team accomplishes this by removing filler scenes not present in the source material. This process requires meticulous editing and quality control to ensure seamless music and transitions.

The project is an ongoing labor of love that started in 2013. Recently, its scope has expanded to include high-quality subtitles for multiple languages, the English dub, animation error fixes, and much more. In addition, we hope to provide a standard middle ground between the anime's presentation and manga's story-telling for fans looking for an alternative watching experience.

So cool! Finally you don't have to watch 10 episodes with the recap of different shots of the same fight because they had to wait for the manga to be written

They should look at Sonic and what worked for him because it can be very very bad :rip:

I have yet to watch this but I am literally shocked at these reviews, anime adoption always fails miserably and yet somehow the first one to succeed is one piece, imo the most hard one to adopt.

One piece is my fave anime along with HXH, so I am still but skeptical to watch it and I have watched easy blue saga like three times so I am not sure if it will provide new thing to be worth the watch

I am really curious how they will pull off Kuma, Gecko Moriah, CP9 zoan users, water 7, thriller bark.

And if they managed to survive that long, fishmen island and whole cake island is going to be insane.

I just finished episodes 3 and 4, that was… a little rough :rip: seems like everybody agrees that that’s the low point so I will still keep watching. Episodes 1 and 2 were great.

edit: okay, the opening scene of episode 5 is pure camp. I’m back on board

Just finished this. I’ve heard of the anime and manga but had no clue what it’s about but I LOVED this. So happy to see fans seem to love it and it’s doing well for Netflix, here’s hoping we get that season 2

just watched the 1st two eps, and they nail it, i mean not perfectly but they did such a wonderful job consider the OP world is super hard to adapt to live action.

You can really tell they put so much thought and passion into this.

And the CGI is also better than expect.

Hopefully they do more and more and more seasons with this quality and budgets.

Some people has unrealistic expectation for the casts, but overall all the cast members has good charisma and fit the character. Zoro is such an eye candy, he has been all over my fyp

Watched episode 1/2.

I’ll start with the negative (mainly 2 points)

-tonal whiplash between the cartoonish aspects and the more YA style.  It can be weird but I also feel like they really had no other options as to how to tackle it.  I might get used to it

-the wigs … oh my god the wigs and hair are awful.  I can’t.  Especially shanks.

now the good

-excellent casting.  Each character screams their original character

-from what I’ve seen, all deviations from the source material have made the tv show work for the better.  I’m glad they’re keeping the same skeleton but also having baroque works and garp/Cody as some sort of overarching season (s) wide plot.

I wonder how far they’ll make it.  I’m personally caught up to the wano arc (tho tbf I need to watch the anime of dressrosq until recent to really cement it in my brain)

Iñaki is so cute :gaycat7:I'm 25 so I think it's like semi-ethical to crush on him. Shanks' actor and Zoro of course are sooo hot, still on the first episode so I'll see who else is cuute. The wigs are bad like someone else mentioned earlier. Like Ariana's wig for Sam & Cat is more convincing

The Zoro actor should keep the styling from the show. He looks so different in their interviews and not in a good way

Also I think the whole wig and styling is on purpose to make it more camp. I mean just look at the outfit and styling for Kuro, it looks striaght out of Lazy Town. The whole aesthetic low key gives that

the personality of Mackenyu In the interviews, him is perfectly funny, humorous, but serious at the same time, so nothing should change.:giraffe:
