I have seen the first 5 episodes, I had never seen the anime or manga so I don't know anything

 

but I must say that from the first episode I AM OBSESSED WITH THIS SERIES

Just finished all 8 episodes and I'm definitely IMPRESSED the actors did an AMAZING job they embodied the characters PERFECTLY!! Episode 4 and episode 8 were done very well

 

The Luffy actor sold me for the most part. He was charismatic and nailed a bunch of Luffy's mannerisms!

 

Zorothe actor killed it! The sword fighting was GREAT!

 

Nami was another great casting choice! She served in every scene especially the iconic Arlong Park moment

 

Usopp was also great! I miss the long nose but the actor still killed it!

 

Sanji also was done very well! I liked his fight scenes!

 

I hope we get a second season  I'm nervous how they gonna do Chopper and Brook tho

I'm happy for the success of the show. This is what happened when you have a faithful adaptation that respects the OG material and it's community. That cancelled Winx LA could never really.

I loved this series. I went in expecting the worst and left VERY impressed. Probably one of the best live adaptions ever

I wanted to but got scared when I found out it had 1000+ episodes.

Will I still enjoy it even though I know nothing about this? Is this really that good?

of the 25 manga series i've read, i'd rank it 22nd.

It's in my top 3 mangas of all time but it's definitely not for everybody

I recommend watching the live action and if you enjoy the tone and the themes of the story, then you can continue with the anime/manga since the tone is pretty similar later on for a couple of hundreds of episodes/chapters

I don't watch anime but I just finished the first season and loved it. A lot of the anime fans from what I've been seeing are satisfied with it. A win
