I think the correct answer is: Nothing on TFG comes close to Spotlight and What's Your Pleasure (the songs) but overall TFG is a better album

mickeyderon Posted July 29, 2023 Posted July 29, 2023 I'm made up that Jessie has been nominated for another Mercury. Well deserved. I love that she is already planning the next album. Going from what she has said it sounds like it's going to be very collaborative and a harder dance record. I'm definitely ready for that if it's anything like Overtime. Jessie and Roisin on an original song sounds heavenly, especially if James Ford, Stuart Price or Bicep are on production. The Channel Tres collaboration has to happen too. Hoping we still get a TFG deluxe too. Any news on that SG Lewis remix that Jessie commented on her insta?

Carla Rosón Posted August 3, 2023 Posted August 3, 2023 I disagree I think Begin Again is definitely up there as her best song along with Spotlight. And a current contender for SOTY imo.
liammmmacbtw Posted August 21, 2023 Posted August 21, 2023 not sure if anyone still needs, but i just posted my extended edit of Lightning because we all know it's too short 😩 i really love the filtered vocal outro, adds a nice final moment to the track. 2

I really don’t know why Stuart was incapable of doing this.
Aristocrat Posted September 4, 2023 Posted September 4, 2023 still my fave album this year. hello love has become my favorite song by her ever, maybe.
bitchfit Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 (edited) I wonder if we’re getting the deluxe after the tour in early 2024. The era low-key died after TERFsín did all that. I need her Believe cover more than air. Edited October 4, 2023 by bitchfit 2
Edibles. Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 Can’t believe the tour finally starts tomorrow. also can’t believe I’ll be there 1

It was definitely drawn out for a while after Free Yourself. I hope the next album she does the more traditional single 1 a couple months before the album. If she’d had preorders available during FY she might have scooped #1. Edited October 4, 2023 by bitchfit

ahauntingnearu Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 I feel like a deluxe won't happen. Idk... What's the point after tour lol Selling 10 more versions probably wouldn't matter to her team anyway

Freak Me Now was an attempt to relive the era, she can do a deluxe if she announces new dates for the tour next year. It makes no sense to tour only 15 concerts
ahauntingnearu Posted October 5, 2023 Posted October 5, 2023 The restive Ware is already contemplating her sixth album – fulfilling a dance music trilogy. She's hinted at a clubbier foray, possibly going techno. In 2018 Ware dropped the standalone Overtime with Belfast combo Bicep's input and lately she's commissioned upfront club remixes – Joe Goddard transforming the gospeldelia Begin Again into an acid house banger. "I wanna go a bit harder in the final chapter to these records," she affirms. "I really wanna feel like it's that bit when you are deep in the dance – and it's not about the flirting… Yeah, I feel like I'm gonna do a dance record next. It's gonna be harder, maybe a bit of techno… "I don't really know that much techno. My brother goes to this [underground] club called FOLD in London and he's like, 'It's the greatest experience!' So maybe I should go clubbing with him a bit and see whether it moves me. But I definitely wanna go hard – and then I probably will go back to an album like Devotion. I feel like it's kind of cyclical. I'm doing my dance thing. [But] I don't wanna stray away always from the R&B and soul element.” Hate to see "trilogy" and "final chapter" but at least she's still planning JW6 to be that clubbier record a la FMN! And JW7 being like GH isn't the worse thing either. 2
