Russia-affiliated journalist paid for Qur'an burning in Sweden

I, for one, am shocked that Russia would go out of it's way to provoke hatred!

It's highly distasteful and disrespectful.

I am all here for freedom of speech and expression but burning the holy book of over 1.6 billion people is really rude. I don't think it should warrant threats against him but it really should warrant some kind of calling out by officials of these countries. It's really wrong to do and only breeds hate

Think I heard something about this being specifically to hurt Sweden’s chances of ever joining NATO. Either way, if this is true, what Russia was trying to provoke here is horrendous.

Where are all the Russia simps who complain about Islamophobia on this site? They have anything to say? No? Because this doesn't fit your agenda that you're trying to deploy?

Well, the dummy should’ve done more research, because burning or burying holy text is the only halal way to destroy it, according to Islam.

What.. is this trying to say? What agenda do people who call out Islamophobia have? Are you trying to say that Chang Frick, a Swedish-born and raised "journalist", who made his career spreading anti-immigrant rhetoric in Sweden and who is member of the Social Democrats nationalist party, is somehow *only* a racist because you find it abhorrent he was a RT freelancer? :deadbanana4:

I hope OP realizes the framing of his title easily makes it appear as though a Russian national faked being Swedish in burning the Quran as some psyop, which is much more exciting than the reality that "keep Mooslems out" and "go Russia!" are just frequently common beliefs amongst the European far right. :skull:

Do you think when people condemn European white supremacy, it somehow doesn't include Russia.. a country in Europe? :deadbanana4: What person who would condemn Islamophobia would even watch RT in 2023? Most leftists stopped watching it after what they did to Abby Martin in 2015. :deadbanana4:

Either way, I'm glad people are realizing the level of racism in Sweden and that, if they want to claim to support Ukraine, they can also stop supporting the far-right anti-immigrant parties who represent what Putin stands for.

I remember when I posted about their rising nazi party, I was told to "**** off" by members and that "Europeans have a right to defend their way of life" from (now banned!) members. :deadbanana4:

Not surprised, Russia doesn't want Turkey to approve Sweden entering NATO so they use every desperate tactic possible

Genocide supporters here as usual trying to deflect from one of their favorite imperialist force :clap3:

Already spinning Sweden (!!) as a nazi country just in case there's another invasion they need to justify.

suggesting Sweden (!!) has a nazi political party

For those of you reading who actually want people to support Ukraine, far-right ideologues like this user, who has a documented history of supporting murdering socialists, makes it why leftists feel they have to waste their time focusing more on pushing back on far-right opportunists exploiting Ukraine's suffering than Russia.

Because you can't use the evils of Russia to try and whitewash the evils of every other county.

It'd actually be very easy and convincing to highlight the link between the Russian far-right and the European far-right to rally people to abandon far-right parties in Europe, and thus weaken Putin's support, but obviously users like the above have explicit motives for running cover to deny that Chang Frick is a Swedish neo-nazi despite his nazi-like worldview reflected in the SD while framing his bigotry as somehow Russian-caused? Spoiler: Some of us actually hate Putin for being far-right, not just for being Russian.

The Swedish Social Democrats are quite literally a party founded very recently on neo-nazism. This is quite literally the acceptable, long-held view of the SD across Europe:

Are we even surprised, they will do everything possible to prohibit Sweden and Finland transition into NATO :gaycat2:

Is the motive so Turkey would have a reason to vote to stop Sweden from joining NATO

I feel like those Muslim refugee discussions are so 2016.  Even the "who is whiter or is not white" discussions on genetic forums are mostly dead. People have moved on. Anti-semitic conspiracy theories are no longer being promoted. The traffic of WN sites has fallen down. Trump barely mentioned Mexicans and Muslims by the end of his presidency.

Are the right-wing parties really rising? Sure racism still exists but it's not like it's 2016 deja vu.

Russia is always in everyone's business and always around when the far right resurges. People need to stop being so gung-ho to agree with obvious conservative attempts to disrupt peace.
