What Are Your Favorite Conspiracy Theories?

I read one that says that we are actually able to make clean, renewable energy that would not harm the planet but the oil tycoons simply don't allow it to be implemented because it would be bad for the economically. How cool if true.

That’s called nuclear energy.

Oil / gas tycoons fund a lot of those anti-nuclear “environmentalist” groups because they know nuclear can replace oil and gas, while renewables can’t on their own.

personally I don't believe any conspiracy theories (at least that I am aware of) but since im a huge Titanic nerd, I love the one that claims the Titanic never sank, that it was the Olympic instead and that RMS faked the accidental sinking for an insurance claim. it makes no sense but its a fun theory.

i think most false flag theories are false / primarily rooted in bigotry but things like 9/11 are probably accepted now more so than before

That Finland isn’t real and it’s being made up because of a fishing deal between Russia and Japan which allows them to bypass international laws. It says the Finnish language is a dialect of Japanese, Nokia is Japanese and Finnish people believe they’re Finnish but actually live in Norway. I think the detail is low-key hilarious and I did think Nokia was Japanese until I read this theory.
