Michael196 Posted January 24, 2023 Posted January 24, 2023 1. Drake - 54.8B 2. Bad Bunny - 49.2B 3. Ed Sheeran - 40.1B 4. Taylor Swift - 40B 5. The Weeknd - 38B 6. Justin Bieber - 34.5B 7. Ariana Grande - 34.2B 8. Eminem - 32.8B 9. Post Malone - 31.3B 10. BTS - 31.1B
PoisonedIvy Posted January 24, 2023 Posted January 24, 2023 I can’t believe she’s gonna overtake Ed in streams, in 2019 that seemed like an IMPOSSIBLE feat.
BGKC Posted January 24, 2023 Posted January 24, 2023 (edited) Will be nice to see her overtake Ed any day now Edited January 24, 2023 by BGKC

EarthJang Posted January 24, 2023 Posted January 24, 2023 Feels like she just overtake Ariana as the most stream female and now they're 6 billion streams apart, insane
katara Posted January 25, 2023 Posted January 25, 2023 I don't understand it. Her discography is so boring, one dimensional and badly produced to me. But looking at the top 4 that seems to be a prerequisite.
Feanor Posted January 25, 2023 Posted January 25, 2023 She'll surpass Ed very soon, and then Drake might be reachable too, but only in quite a few years and only if she continues to go on like this. Bad Bunny will definitely end up as #1 tho and I don't see anyone challenging him after that for… maybe the next decade? Also Abel is smashing currently as well, despite his last album being 1 year old. If his next studio album can smash like Starboy/After Hours did, then he could surpass Taylor again.

1989 Posted January 26, 2023 Posted January 26, 2023 She’ll be top three next week, and coming for top two.

I'm sure the half a dozen albums she released since then haven't contributed to this at all. OT: congrats

OT: congrats Nothing is stopping anyone else from releasing 3 albums in the 2020’s like Taylor has. In fact Drake has pretty much kept pace with her in terms of releases and yet his streams are waning while hers continue to grow. Gaga has also released about 4 projects since 2020 (to Taylor’s 5) and she isn’t even pulling 25% of Taylor’s daily streams, for example! Edited January 26, 2023 by WeFoundTrouble

It's easier to overtake the competition when you already have the biggest and most loyal fanbase in the world and you're constantly putting new stuff out. The only reason she wasn't always #1 is bc she wasn't on spotify for a while. Edited January 26, 2023 by dumbsparce
Iyanla, Fix Me Posted January 26, 2023 Posted January 26, 2023 Did her streams restart when she came back to Spotify?

It’s one of the most common Swiftie Lies that they restarted when she came back, but they did not. With that said tho, she had only like 500-600M before pulling stuff in 2014. So she’s gained 39.4B (roughly) since 2017.
