She need to ditch Doja old girl choreographer and call Jacquel or parris to work ha body for this video. She is going to be on tour soon. I doubt she enough time commit to a week or two of dance rehearsals.

No clue why Chloe decided to work with Courtland and not Jacquel. Like he would have been glad and made sure anything he choreographed for her wasn’t too Beyonce-y. He does a good job (he used to work with Victoria Monet too) and is already in her network. Parris would be a great look for Body Do. That song is right up her alley.

I feel like Body Do is the only chance she has at a hit with this. I think with a decent and flashy video with choreography it could put her on the right track (please no more cringey sexy faces, just be fierce :rip:). She needs to go for a certain look and color palette on the video to make it cohesive and memorable.

That something missy (only as creative director) could help her pull off. Chloe is not visual artist in the same way she is musically. She needs get couple dope creative directors and choreographers to create a dope visual to this. If the choreography is phenomenal this will go viral TikTok and this era might be save a little bit.

one thing I like about Jacquel he ties his choreography to the artist and song. He also great at artist development.i was surprised he wasn’t working with Chloe from the beginning. Courtland doesn’t know how choreographed anyone that is not Doja. All his choreography look like Doja left overs and repetitive.
Parris would body this song. I think she might be the perfect choreographer for this song.

Ok so what was the real tea with her scrapping the singles ? Was it the label is her? The singles sounded a little more pop crossover and they decided she’d be better just going full r&b and not super commercialized? Weird though because none of this performed well and her best performing track was more pop crossover so why wouldn’t they continue pushing that sound? Until Chloe had more pull than we thought? I’m just so confused why that OG tracklist was scrapped

I streamed this album! I was expecting to hear her singles on the album but was disappointed to see none of them.

This choreographer made a concept music video and IT’S GOOD.

Chloe already saw it too on IG. She needs this right now as a single. It could save the era

The problem isn’t her fans it’s the fact that she’s alienated potential fans, isn’t cool to root for anymore and there was too long if a gap between the Have Mercy hype and the album release a year and a half later.

I agree but would say it's both. She alienated most CxH fans and formed a clique of stans who hype up every decision she makes and chalk every small comment to 'hating or cyberbullying'.

After seeing the low stats, they're now sparking arguments on Twitter saying it's apparently Beyonce and Parkwood's fault 'for not being invested enough in Chloe's success'. And they're dead serious. It's always someone else's fault for why the GP doesn't support. :toofunny3:

Y'all are SO dense with this narrative when in reality you have no idea how they created music for CxH. Chloe produced all by herself many tracks on their discography & both put so much of their input into their albums. Chloe vocal produced almost every track from them. You have to learn to separate their solo music from their group music.

Who is dense? You need to watch what you’re saying.

I know exactly how their music is created. I’ve been a fan and have followed them since I watched them at the BET Awards on the side stage.

Halle is clearly the one who writes the incredible lyrics and melodies in their discography. I believe they even mentioned this years ago.

As you just mentioned, Chloe does the producing. The beat can be fine, but the song can still lack a good melody and good lyrics, which is what we see with her solo music. You can listen to “Potion” alone and see that Halle was behind most of the greatness of the duo. That’s a fact.

So you never thought that Halle is simply sticking to what she knows after working with her sister?

None of the records we have heard so far through snippets sound anything remotely close to the duo’s previous albums or EPs.

If we aren’t liking the solo music, then that is it. There’s no point of going back and forth about it, and it surely isn’t hatred.

If you listen to the snippets that Halle is posting of her solo music...

we can actually pause right here, Halle is also working with people such as Bryan Micheal-Cox, Johnta Austin and JD.

Chloe is working with Metro Boomin, Murda Beatz, ThankGod4Cody and Hitmaka

so, that's also aVERY definitive factor of their solo sounds

that's like two completely different sides of the spectrum. Halle's music is also very traditional/alt R&B. Jill Scott, Floetry type ****

and Chloe has that alt pop/R&B/trap-esque vibe

which is why their sound together is a fusion of both...

She certainly alienated me as a fan with the Chris Brown ****. But the album is good and I am still here for her just not a fan of people working with abusers especially when you listen to the message she’s selling in her music it seems inconsistent.

At the very least she’s got an album out there which in this climate is a big achievement.

She needs to drop the deluxe with the singles on it NOW. It's the only way to save this record. Maybe even throw in a collab with Halle or Gunna for hype.

also to help you really realize what you’re saying… if you truly knew, you wouldn’t be comparing Chloe and Halle because they are sonically on two different sides of R&B

that’s like comparing Erykah Badu to Mary J Blige. it’s not a fair comparison because their “brands” of R&B are opposite.

It doesn’t matter if they are sonically on two different sides of R&B. What’s the point of even mentioning that?

I can tell you this though, Erykah and Mary both released incredible work early in their careers. Chloe hasn’t. Halle will.

Now what?

In this streaming era just add the tracks via playlist and let it go. Its done

I can kinda hear Keyshia Cole or Tamar Braxton singing these songs as their album for some reason.

I think on this first listen I guess Looze U and Make It Look Easy are decent to my ears. Nothing caught my ear and made me like it instantly for this album like Have Mercy did.

I'm surprised I'm saying this, but I would probably listen to Have Mercy, Treat Me, Surprise, and For The Night (without latto) more than the album. I thought there would be some really strong tracks she would be holding after dropping Pray It Away. I don't even enjoy Body Do as much because it feels like something Ciara would release after 2018
