It was also a platinum, cross-format hit too. I just want the album to do well enough to grow her solo career and keep her signed to Columbia as both a solo act/duo act, but it might not be that easy if a lot was invested. If that really piqued their interest they would've followed up quicker than they did. They did not properly build on that momentum and it has been downhill since lol. Can't wait for this album to finally drop though!
ultraviolence.xx Posted March 12, 2023 Posted March 12, 2023 i need something chloe. tracklist or something. it's been so long

PRAY IT AWAY was a great cleanser to move on from that. the CB feature was def a plot and ploy to win back the GP. usher sample, hitmaka production but it did more harm than good. at this point, I just want her to WIN! I love that she's everywhere. TV, MOVIES, MUSIC, TOUR. continuing to build and expand despite these painted narratives. she can sell ONE copy, the girl will continue to be talented and the real gag is when CxH get back together after C's solo effort and H's solo run, the duo album still isn't going to SMASH. the same people begging are going to be the same one's not supporting. so it's just another cycle of begging with no action as usual with most artist. I feel like the next duo album is gonna smash. H is gonna have a critically acclaimed album too.

It charted on Hot 100 1st week because of facebook, then it left the chart the week after. It never entered the Top 200 on Apple Music & charted on US Spotify for 2 days, it freefell on streaming after only 1 week Radio wouldn't have saved it.
Alex Posted March 13, 2023 Posted March 13, 2023 so... what now? - solo career essentially destroyed - image beyond reparation - fanbase abandoned - songs not being sent to radios - miniscule hype for this album I was rooting for miss Bailey but this is a Tinashe 2.0 situation, except this time with actual resources available

Overall the situation is more devastating when analyzing the full potential this era could've been if handled properly. I'm not sure what's going on at Parkwood / Columbia but it's looking like it's not anything good.
orange22 Posted March 13, 2023 Posted March 13, 2023 They waited way too long after Have Mercy to do anything tbh (and HM would’ve peaked higher if it was actually out for any part of the summer )

Let's hope Halle's success somehow pushes Chloe's too.
