muziq.kid Posted March 7, 2023 Posted March 7, 2023 So anyways, BACK to Chloe. I got tickets for her show! Super excited. Hope she has exciting things in store for the next few weeks.

Exactly boo, thank you! 6 minutes ago, Machete said: I see your point and agree with what you're saying Dua did (which I have no idea why Dua stans are melting over objective truth? ) but I don't think that method can work well for Chloe for 2 main reasons: 1. Making Europe your foundation base is MUCH easier than making the US. 2. As Dua was building her career up, she was also debuting a personality, one which was very safe/regular (I would actually consider Dua a personality-less celeb, which is not a bad thing at all before her stans start jumping me too). Meanwhile Chloe has, due to her own antics, been associated as having a corny/desperate personality. As she tries to build her career up, she has to now combat those pre-set narratives of her personality, which is way harder than starting with a blank slate. Again this is her own fault due to the antics she pulled since Have Mercy's release. I think Chloe just needs THEE song, which is easier said than done. Once she gets that, she can use the goodwill off that to re-market her image in a positive light. Yea, I definitely agree with this too. I do think maybe having her debut album out will also help with this. Because getting a full body of work out helps people see your persona a lot better when you’re trying to sell a narrative. Which is also what she’s trying to do I think (and Dua didn’t). Considering one of the points you mentioned (Europe x NA) it will be very helpful for Chloe to get her album out. Hopefully THAT song is somewhere hidden in her album, but even if it isn’t, she’ll def get a second chance when it’s time to do a second era (I think lol).
Rigalo Posted March 7, 2023 Posted March 7, 2023 Ok flop time for the next single or the album cover or something lol
rac7d Posted March 8, 2023 Posted March 8, 2023 I can’t belive her fan base punished her for working with Chris brown like that and then he gets two more number 1s on his own this week like what was the point

ultraviolence.xx Posted March 8, 2023 Posted March 8, 2023 but tbh i'm hype for this album apart from the obvious

CB on it or not. Just not my cup of tea and probably many stans felt the same, while being hurt with her working with him. Her past releases didn't chart either so not much changed.

But she got more engagement scolding her then streams it baffled me. However this just shows me she should keep working with controversial artist, since whoever claims to be her fans ain’t doin nothin

EarStyle Posted March 9, 2023 Posted March 9, 2023 I feel like there's going to be some gems on this album!

thedamnking Posted March 9, 2023 Posted March 9, 2023 I think the original album probably was way better than what she’s going to release, I still don’t know why she scrapped Have Mercy and Treat Me since they are her best songs so far and the most successful too, her album probably won’t even sell enough copies to debut on top 20 on Billboard 200 without them

I think it's going to have a very 2000s R&B sound ala Tori Kelly, with a slight trap lean. That genre does not stream well, so hopefully she has a Have Mercy pt. 2 on there to get on some urban playlists.
Topaz Posted March 9, 2023 Posted March 9, 2023 I have a feeling the album will be better than the singles and i'll find myself listening to the album more. Time for CxH again. I loved their music. I also wish there was a version of For The Night without Latto on spotify. After Halle sweeps tho bc after Lil Mermaid her solo music about to go crazy. I love the snippets.

And now Normani finally dropping this year so between Sza and her it’s gonna a tough year

Chris Brown has a specific audience that doesn't crossover with Chloe's small audience. Put that together with Chris Brown's audience not being that interested in Chloe and you have a recipe for disaster. Anyways, I think Chlöe is just going to keep flopping until the album is finally OUT. I think they could work the album at that point but I think there's too much time being wasted on solo efforts, and the focus should have shifted to CXH3 before they do solo albums - and I think CXH3 should come out before a Halle solo album.
