touchofmyhand Posted January 27, 2023 Posted January 27, 2023 The layering sounds so noisy and I’m over her solo career. At this point it’s obvious that Halle’s the mastermind behind CxH.
Edgy Posted January 27, 2023 Posted January 27, 2023 I like the clean version better. Pray it away really showcases Chlöe's vocals in the best way.
campelo Posted January 27, 2023 Posted January 27, 2023 not the best song I believe, to introduce a new era
Cotton Posted January 27, 2023 Posted January 27, 2023 I really enjoyed this song. Lovely visuals, it's a very nice song but I don't think it's exactly lead single worthy? But maybe she thought it was the best song to represent the album. Either way I think 'that hit' will happen organically when the album is out.
X~MoviePoP Posted January 27, 2023 Posted January 27, 2023 Its a cute song but it won't get replay. And it wont do anything to help her career. Idk why shed scrap the other songs tbh
TrueBlood Posted January 27, 2023 Posted January 27, 2023 Not her releasing her worst single so far as the lead single of the album after scrapping all the BOPS she released before. It feels like an interlude more than anything else.
liquiddiamonds Posted January 27, 2023 Posted January 27, 2023 (edited) She always comes off as a try too hard. It was tolerable in Have Mercy, because she could’ve shown more of herself from that. But four singles in: the gun and violence lyrics… some of the slurs used. She lacks the penmanship and she can’t seem to sell this bird persona. It’s like we can tell she’s not this girl at all and it’s unsettling. I feel like this whole era of pre-singles was supposed to break her previous image - and it did - but it failed in setting a personality that could hooks us powerfully. She feels like filler and this seems like a bite at SZA’s lyrical sincerity without the honesty from experience Edited January 27, 2023 by liquiddiamonds

Can’t wait til the album comes out and suddenly y’all love her. Happens every time
EarStyle Posted January 27, 2023 Posted January 27, 2023 Love the clean version so much more and this video is amazing. She looks incredible. Every look was a 10/10. Definitely my favorite video of hers after "Have Mercy" Very pleased with this.

Can’t wait til the album comes out and suddenly y’all love her. Happens every time The execution in Ungodly Hour is completely different. They only have heartache in common. The lyrical game is way weaker now. She’s putting an image she isn’t and just further alienating her supporters. If the album has creative moments she will win me over and i’ll be ready for a switch, but these urban radio fillers she’s been dropping are nothing to brag about Edited January 27, 2023 by liquiddiamonds
EarStyle Posted January 27, 2023 Posted January 27, 2023 Like I said this rebrand, song, chop of the previous songs and direction is actually what she needed to get the audience she's going after tuned in for album time. Those that get it, get it. Anyways, I need the clean on streaming now because it is so much better than the explicit. Some songs are just much better clean like "Gold Digger"
unino Posted January 27, 2023 Posted January 27, 2023 the thing is she doesn't need MPG's level of success to survive in the industry. and that would be really risky because once u flop, u OUT!
OrgVisual Posted January 27, 2023 Posted January 27, 2023 The harmonies are even better on headphones ON REPEAT

sickoagb Posted January 27, 2023 Posted January 27, 2023 This is easily her best release by a mile and Twitter/Instagram seems to be echoing that so I was surprised to come on here and see dislike 10s across the board

KasioKas Posted January 27, 2023 Posted January 27, 2023 (edited) THIS IS SO GOOD The harmonies save this and the build in the bridge is very very well done! there should have been a drawn a drawn out outro but w/e Edit: Not my job by Flo auto played afterwards and the flow is *chef's kiss* Edited January 27, 2023 by KasioKas
Doogle Posted January 27, 2023 Posted January 27, 2023 Finally. This is what I wanted from her all along that’s akin to CxH (vocals) Im pleased

Kawaii Posted January 27, 2023 Posted January 27, 2023 This was amazing on first look/listen. I was really starting to become uninterested in her solo album, but this has pulled me back in. Im glad she scrapped the previous singles, cause i dont even listen to them anymore. Good job Chloe.
Mr. Specialist Posted January 27, 2023 Posted January 27, 2023 The song & music video are also #1 on the USA iTunes R&B/Soul chart.
