Is it really the first time? She might be the only one right now (which is amazing), but I can't imagine that Katy didn't have two songs up there in 2014 -2015. With how massive Roar and Dark Horse were.

that is because the song is a massive sleeper hit. its continuous success is spread out over almost 5 years! It wasnt ever popular in a specific timeframe either like a shallow or bad guy for example which is why it never peaked

I feel like this has contributed to how it's streams have been so excellent. With huge smashes the public will tire with them faster but when it's a slow burner like this there's no overexposure which will cause people to go off it.
