Glad to see Disney’s learning and not afraid of moving stuff away from Hulu. Still disappointed Prey didn’t have a theatrical run.

This was supposed to go straight to streaming on Hulu but great feedback from test screenings convinced 20th Century Studios to go for a theatrical release. Kinda like Smile and Evil Dead Rise so I'm hyped! :duca:

I just got back from the cinema and… I’m kinda whelmed. There were some cool and creative scares but, overall, I found it too repetitive and slow-paced. I’d probably still recommend though if you liked movies like Lights Out and Smile, pure popcorn flicks. And Sophie Thatcher was phenomenal!

I just got back and it ******* sucked 🙄 the jump scares were not scary the movie is not scary and all very mid. C minus d plus. Don't bother with this one folks. Also once the monster is revealed it's super not scary anymore. Evil dead was waaaaaaaaaaay scarier than this boring old dud

I expected this to be terrible so I personally enjoyed it a lot. Nothing groundbreaking but a fun theater experience.

I loved Host (the same director who made this film), but that film also had way better reviews. I'm a horror buff, but reactions on Letterboxd (and critics) seem a bit on the mixed side. Is this a movie worth seeing in theaters, or could you wait to stream it?

For the record, I liked Evil Dead Rise, M3GAN, Infinity Pool, and Scream VI.

I thought Cocaine Bear was fun but just OK.

And I admired what Skinamarink was trying to do, but I was really bored. Might give it another chance soon, but it was a slog to sit through. Knock at the Cabin was entertaining, but I hated the ending, so it ruined the whole experience for me.

This was okay but I’m not surprised it didn’t breakout the  way the other "originally meant for streaming but made it to theaters" horror films did because it doesn’t have that much hook to it. It's not a fun horror movie in the way many of the other horror films are. It's not a wild adventure. Moderately slow but very trope-filled.

Plus it kinda got overshadowed by major releases and the reviews weren’t as good. They should’ve put it in August which is kinda dead.

This was nice. Nothing spectacular, but didn't feel I wasted money watching it on the movies. I had a good Time but that's it. Nothing really memorable.

Spoiler

Feels like everything got solved and sequels are definitely not coming.
