There are literally so many issues with this, as other users have pointed out  Imagine getting charged for watching Netflix while on vacation or a work trip or something, while your partner (who you live with) is also watching it at home. How is THAT password sharing? You should be able to access your account from anywhere no problem. If that's what they go by anyways (a different IP). I guess it could be attached more to the device, but what if I logged into it at the hotel to watch it on the TV there? IT JUST DOESN'T MAKE SENSE!!!

I'm not sure, but I don't think some of these constitute "password sharing", like simply logging into another device like your laptop, ipad or hotel on occasion still means you're logged in.

so what is the point of the package that allows for 4 devices? It's already pretty expensive but I use it with my friends, and just split it 4 ways. If they don't allow for sharing, then wouldn't the only package that make sense be the one for 1 device? Like who will watch from 4 devices at once..

How would they do it though? some people have static IP addresses so even if they are in the same house... the IP address will change daily. Are they using GPS for this? I'm confused

There are already too many streamers as it is, no one is going to pay for Netflix (who is already losing many subscribers recently for lack of good content and raising prices) for themselves. Everyone is so used to sharing an account, the backlash will be enormous.

I mean you can use it on multiple devices without a problem as long as they're on the same network ip, but what about people who use the app on mobile devices when outside their home?

 

People are obviously not going to have the same IP address when they're using data and not their home routers, so we're technically going to have to pay extra or have another account just to stream it outside of our homes? How f dumb
