Stealing art from actual artists and trying to pretend you "made" it, is as pointless and dumb as cryptocurrencies.

Do you honestly believe that AI-generated songs will be monetised? Of course, not. But there is no way they will be banned.

Part of me is so excited at the possibilities, the other part of me is mortifed for these artists. I don't know what to do

AI will probably steal our jobs at some point but on the other hand there still has to be someone to monitor it

I believe that people will attempt to do so yeah. If you read my comment you would see that I didn't advocate for banning it, just making regulation regarding using someone's voice or song without their consent or knowledge.

Fanmade remixes/mashups do not get monetized. Why would AI-generated songs get monitized?

IMO in the future AI-generated songs will mostly be treated like fanmade mashups and remixes are now. I doubt it will be that big of a deal.

what will stop those AI generated song is laziness from the GP, u can notice people listening every day less and less and less leaked material cuz they're lazy to listen to anything that's outside their streaming platform.

but what will happen it's artists using it for themselves and the worst possibility -- teams/label/family milking money from dead artists names (idk how it will happen, but it will).

What happens when someone records a song and thinks up that they want Ariana to sing on it instead of them, so they change their voice through a generator to make it an "Ariana" song. It is their original work but her voice, so they share the song. They can monetize that as you can't copyright a voice.

This doesn't concern the creative industry either, it is more far reaching that that. What if someone takes your voice without your consent and puts it onto something that you never said, how would you feel about that? If it gets good enough how will we able to tell the difference? Especially in cases where it can be used to harm someone or impact them professionally.

Someone create Ariana Grande sing Dancing With Our Hands Tied ASAP!!!

ok tasteee  botriana would sound heavenly on this, it still one of taylor's best vocal performances from rep

but this is highkey scary it needs some regulation for sure

I could see artists silently typing “pop hit [insert another artist]” into an AI to come up with an original song and then just copying or least get inspired by the result to make their own song.

girls, this is just very very beginning of AI tech, y'all are scared someone is gonna monetize your fave's fake sings or that your fave won't visit a studio for the rest of their lives, but like someone else said these are just fun stan stuff, like fanmade rihmixes and mash-ups:gaycatney1:

wait 'til AI takes over our jobs and our governments lol

Microsoft has developed an AI model that is capable of simulating anyone's voice with a three-second sample. It is not publicly accessible yet.

Wtf, Ashanti and Christina Milian jobless now. J.Lo doesn’t need them anymore.

I feel like labels will use this to exploit deceased artists. Hologram tours are already a thing. So, what's stopping Sony from making a whole new Whitney Houston album using AI.
