tiagol88 Posted January 18, 2023 Posted January 18, 2023 Like, it's something that i've been thinking about for the last few months, but since she joined Warner Bros, everything she's doing kinda feels like a continuation of the Celebration Greatest Hits she released back in 2009, doesn't it? This was its cover: Back cover: This past year, she announces her first new Warner release...its aesthetics? Look like this: I mean...it's like she left a meeting to talk about Celebration and walked into another one to work on FEL and kept a similar concept They almost feel like they complete one another tbh. Then there's the new tour: It's literally called The Celebration Tour. She's usually original when it comes to naming tours if they aren't named after a studio album (Blond Ambition, Girlie Show, Reinvention Tour, Sticky & Sweet)...yet this one she literally named it after her most recent GH album, a song that was hardly a huge hit (but her last promoted single from Warner Bros) AND on her recent video announcing the new tour, this is how she described the tour (timestamped): She names the 80's, 90's and 2000's...specifically, even if she then says "4 decades of music" she clearly didn't state that decade. This could all be a coincidence but i thought it was interesting.
Madonno Posted January 19, 2023 Posted January 19, 2023 Yeah we can pretend that MDNO, Repel Chart and Madame Boring never happen Hope she delivers this time
pisuke Posted January 19, 2023 Posted January 19, 2023 She probably finally realised Interscope did deliberately **** her over. Can't wait for the rights to go to WB. Those albums have been mistreated even by tasteless fans as one can clearly see. I hope she doesn't pay them dust for this tour, but she has so many hits and classics many will be out of the setlist for sure.
spree Posted January 19, 2023 Posted January 19, 2023 she might do GMAYL on tour, maybe Ghosttown, BIM for sure, and maybe God Control. That's it from those 3 albums. And out of all of them, she's probably only guaranteed to do BIM.

The latter would be a bit of a downer for this sort of a show. Plus she named an entire compilation after IDSIF and clearly loves that song.

Oktober Knight Posted January 19, 2023 Posted January 19, 2023 If I were her, I would ignore the past decade too. Interscope held her back for MDNA and Rebel Heart from her artistic vision and did nothing to promote her. Her contract was all about $$$ and touring, with Interscope being the gateway to release her albums where they forced her to work with numerous collaborators. I am sooo glad she's back with Warner. They treat her like the Queen that she is.
