Ricardo1993 Posted January 17, 2023 Posted January 17, 2023 She served so much during this era I would love for her to revisit this style again one day. She still rocks the platinum blonde with cherry lips since that's her signature look but Back To Basics was her best era in terms of looks.
ATRL Moderator Legend E Posted January 17, 2023 ATRL Moderator Posted January 17, 2023 I love this era of hers but it's so overrated
The Last of Us Posted January 17, 2023 Posted January 17, 2023 Her best era for visuals and her second best era for music.
BionicWooHoo Posted January 17, 2023 Posted January 17, 2023 Jordan Bratman was one lucky mother effer for looking the way he did and being married to Xtina during this era

Trash Posted January 17, 2023 Posted January 17, 2023 I saw classic ATRL being annoyed/tired with this serve. They had no idea how good they had it back then.
banterfly Posted January 17, 2023 Posted January 17, 2023 I was very surprised by this album because with the exception of a few songs, the album really didn't sonically fit the narrative she was pushing. ANOM, Candyman, SMFM, MoM, and The Right Man were album highlights. I think this album would've done more if it weren't for Amy Winehouse doing the same thing and doing it better.
Virgos Groove Posted January 17, 2023 Posted January 17, 2023 All the photoshoots, videos and performances were a SERVE. (Shame she didn't the milk the era more) The album is a bit too long for my taste tho, and there was no need to divide it into two discs. A one-disc 50-minute album would've been perfect (or maybe 60, since the material is there).
Bloodflowers. Posted January 17, 2023 Posted January 17, 2023 As I Am, Back to Basics, Back to Black.... 2006 was a great year for oldschool pop music Without You, On Our Way and Save Me from Myself are career highlights
Anye Posted January 17, 2023 Posted January 17, 2023 I miss Baby Jane so much. I miss her drive. Slow Down Baby was a lost gem tho. Could be iconic second or third single.
xperience30 Posted January 17, 2023 Posted January 17, 2023 What an era and what an album : Hurt , Mercy on me , Without you , The right man , Slow down baby , Candyman
My Tears Ricochet Posted January 17, 2023 Posted January 17, 2023 She was the definition of TABS during that era Lemme rewatch Candyman video real quick

naval23 Posted January 17, 2023 Posted January 17, 2023 A great run of singles Slow Down Baby should ve been a single
Josh Posted January 17, 2023 Posted January 17, 2023 Save Me From Myself is one of my favorite vocal performances from her
popmusicisdead Posted January 17, 2023 Posted January 17, 2023 may people say Stripped was her peak buy to me this was Xtina's peak in terms of being a pop star and celebrity overall. her revamped image (the press was very complimentary for once), the looks, the performances, the tour, she was a newlywed and got pregnant shortly after.
tombiz Posted January 17, 2023 Posted January 17, 2023 Loving to see all the "Understand", "Save Me from Myself" and "Slow Down Baby" stanning. All three deserved way more!
ithinkheknowsoutsold Posted January 17, 2023 Posted January 17, 2023 Her beauty was incredible during this period. She served everything, face, body, hair, outfits Unsurprisingly her music during that time was also excellent. Legend X circa. 2006 was the truly the gift that kept on giving

Burlesque and Back to Basics are her best albums
Power love Posted January 17, 2023 Posted January 17, 2023 The music videos were the best of her entire career. Ain’t no other man Slow down baby Understand Candy man Hurt Picture this as the single run
La Reina Posted January 18, 2023 Posted January 18, 2023 The era where she looked so stunning daily that even her pap pictures looked like professional photoshoots. "Understand" and "Slow Down Baby" deserved to be singles too with retro-styled music videos. I hope we get a BTB 2.0 someday
orange22 Posted January 18, 2023 Posted January 18, 2023 she went so hard this era like damn ma was it that serious

Why are you praising her for this? Yeah the album feels a bit long and doesn't have enough "commercial" or "boppy" tracks that would make obvious singles, but whatever. What bothers me the most is she couldn't bother to add 3 minutes more to make it's sales be counted as a double album. The sales would be double and it would make sense considering how expensive the album is I have the physical version and it was pretty pricey, but I have to say the casing and photobook was really good.
