So what's gonna be the size of the audience and how does that compare to other historical audiences?

I live in Rio and everyone is freaking out here. The whole city breathes and only talks about Madonna:jonny5:

She's removing DAD for Miles Away I heard.

It would make sense. Miles Away was a huge airplay hit here back in 2008/2009. I remember I used to listen to everywhere, even in my high school.

Hard Candy was huuuuge. Every single was a hit here in Brazil. The radios supported her HARD. Give it 2 Me was even a cute top 10 hit

What are your bets on the new songs? Music is a given, Hard Candy representation must be coming as well?

is this what it was like for the rest of the world in the 80s and 90s and 00s? (only Brazil never stopped cuz they're not ageist)

Latin America in general is not ageist.

Rod Stewart (1994) put like 3,5m people in Copacabana and Jorge Ben Jor & Tim Maia (1993) put 3m. Both were traditional New Year's Eve parties though, which are usually already massive.

As for headliner concerts, which are far more rare, Madonna is expected to pull from 1,5m to 2m, bigger than The Rolling Stones (1,2-1,5m in 2006), Claudia Leitte (1m in 2008) and DJ Alok (1m in 2023).

I Remember her producer, William Orbit, saying that she'd be on tour till the fall

"But with a tour till the Autumn, with Brazil now bolted on etc, that's unlikely. It's very hard graft, to do it every night and give it everything."

Are there any official boxscores?

If she does another leg, I hope she comes back to the states for her biggest markets :WAP:

I'm willing to bet she will add back the supposed section that was dropped after her health scare which included Music, 4 Minutes, and Candy Shop.

She already did in USA way more than everywhere else...She needs to come back to Europe (where She basically came and went), Asia and LATAM

They had this banner at the Copacabana beach when she went into the hotel

I saw they had a banner flying over the city announcing the hotel that Madonna's staying at.. sounds like that could potentially be dangerous. I hope she stays safe.

by the way, I'm curious if we get any vids of her rehearsing on the beach this week, or if they'll somehow have all that private.
