Jjang Posted February 25, 2024 Posted February 25, 2024 3rd Miami & 2nd Dallas dates should be canceled IMO. Extra rest days won't hurt.

Tickets that were originally set aside for guests, local media/press, etc that ultimately were not collected or claimed so they’re put on sale to the public instead. That is why the seats in these drops are usually premium spots and last minute. This happens for all shows, all tours, by all artists Thanks for this, I don’t want anyone thinking my question was meant as shady tho.. I’m about as big a Madonna stan as there is, I was just wondering why they do this because I figured they’re leaving money on table as some of those last minute seats don’t even sell and likely would if they release them earlier. I noticed Beyoncé did the same thing when she played Seattle last year. The scheduled start time was 8:00 PM, she hit the stage around 9:15 PM, and right around 8:20 PM (less than an hour before she started), they released a lot of great tickets at face value (non premium, non VIP prices).

I don’t think 2-4 flop shows warrants canceling the entire tour - I thought my post made that clear. You guys can keep pretending like I ever said she’s flopping or even doing bad at all. All I said is that there’s a clear decline felt overall. And that’s enough to send you over the edge 1

I'm just responding to you, in the same way you have responded and downvoted my posts.

Oh believe me I didn't think you meant anything shady by it! I was just trying to reinforce for others that may want to question it that it's a normal practice in the entertainment industry. It doesn't make a ton of sense on paper, but in practice it tends to work out well. The guest list is finalized, the left over tickets get released, and people who waited last minute make the purchase due to fomo. And yes you're right! When I saw Beyonce in Nashville, there was a production hold drop a couple hours before show time and there were people wandering in right as she was getting on. Taylor also has some production drop tickets at each date but those are naturally hard to get and you kinda have to be on Ticketmaster at just the right time.
Chris Posted February 26, 2024 Posted February 26, 2024 She's obviously doing a stadium tour this summer.

If nothing is announced until March i really don't think it's for this year. I'd rather she does shows late this year in south america and then NEXT year, 2025 she does stadiums in europe 1
Jay07 Posted February 26, 2024 Posted February 26, 2024 Absolutely nothing has indicated she will be doing more dates, including Madonna herself who said the tour is ending and is probably looking foward to a good break after a tough year. Let it go.
Raptus Posted February 26, 2024 Posted February 26, 2024 She's definitely comming to Brazil...with Tears of a Clown vol. II 1

I've always started my comments by stating that I think she's doing well overall before I advanced my thoughts precisely because I know this fan base is a bunch of snowflakes who as their queen said, their eyes only see what they want to see. My comments were always 100% written within the context of her relative touring power throughout her career + the state of the touring industry today and I'm pretty sure I stated that in all of my posts too. If I implied anything else I'm 100% sure it was a snapback at someone like you trying to act snarky with me. Here's 90% of the "troll comments" you guys lost your absolute mind over: Quote So around ~ $3m average per arena show. Healthy numbers but clearly Taylor & Bey are the face of the female touring game nowadays. She had a great run on top though. Quote It looks bad when you compare her with the many other acts (both old and new) doing $$4-5m+ per arena. But overall it's still respectable numbers Quote In Europe, she did very well. No one's arguing against that. I'm not even saying she's doing bad in the US. For the "Queen of Pop,' those are good but pretty average numbers. Surely not remarkable at last. Quote never said this tour was a flop. no tour that will end up grossing $200m is a flop. This tour is doing better than the Rebel Heart Tour. No one is denying that. She declined from being a top-tier touring force (like Taylor, Beyonce, Pink, Karol G, Drake , Harry Styles, etc right now) and I'm allowed to say that. You'll come up with the "but they are younger " card but that excuse wasn't working when she was in her 50's and 40's and still out-grossing all the youngsters because the older you get the bigger of a touring force you become and not vice versa. She just declined. deal with it and move on. It's not the end of the world. I can go on and on... I visit the Janet tour thread. Many fans are speculating whether she should cancel and openly discussing low ticket sales. No one's whining like you. I visited the Jlo tour thread, and openly said that she's barely selling and needs to immediately discount - no one attacked me. Like, I'm sorry you're not a nuanced person. I am. So leave me be <3 Edited February 26, 2024 by Jjang 2
Uncatena Posted February 26, 2024 Posted February 26, 2024 ...anyway, a tour like the 2009 leg of S&S would be fun. big outdoor venues, festival style.
Looolqueen Posted February 26, 2024 Posted February 26, 2024 Where are the insiders we used to have? come on, is she or isn't she touring again in Europe this summer? She did say that it's ending in April so I'm clearly deluding myself, but still let me have some hope.

The only insider we had on ATRL said that this was going to be a quick arena tour in US + Europe. There were some speculations by local unreliable sources that there was some talks about her visiting Uruguay but that’s about it. If you’re counting on her extending the tour, then don’t.

Popboi. Posted February 26, 2024 Posted February 26, 2024 If she was doing any stadium, it would’ve been announced by now.
zach Posted February 26, 2024 Posted February 26, 2024 Yeah, this tour was just to celebrate the 40th anniversary. I’m sure after this tour is over she’s gonna finish up the album and do a stadium tour next year to support it.
Jjang Posted February 26, 2024 Posted February 26, 2024 cancel 3rd Miami & 2nd Dallas dates and instead add two new Mexican dates 1
spiritboy Posted February 26, 2024 Posted February 26, 2024 She will not extend the tour. She’ll have a rest and then take the kids to Malawi to check up on charity before going on summer vacation. I think she’ll be busy shopping her biopic to other major studios.
