There is still hope. RH tour had many one offs:

Notes

  • On select dates, Madonna sang acoustic versions of "Like a Prayer" and "Ghosttown".[114][115][116][96][117][118]
  • During the concerts in Montreal and Washington, the "Dress You Up" medley also included "Everybody".[73][119]
  • During the concerts in Detroit, San Jose, San Diego, and San Antonio; Madonna sang an acoustic version of "Frozen".[120]
  • During the concert in St. Paul, Madonna sang an a cappella version of "Fever". It was performed again during the first show in Macau and the second shows in Cologne and Melbourne.[121]
  • During the concert in Vancouver, Madonna performed an acoustic version of "Secret". It was performed again during the shows in Portland, Las Vegas, Inglewood, and Atlanta; the first show in Prague, Berlin, and Amsterdam; and the second show in Cologne and Turin.[122]
  • "Don't Tell Me" was sung during the concerts in Tulsa, Nashville, and Antwerp; and the first shows in Turin, Barcelona, Amsterdam, Saitama and Auckland.[123]
  • During the second concert in London, Madonna performed "Drowned World/Substitute For Love" as a tribute to her late friend David Collins.[124]
  • During the first concert in Paris, Madonna performed "Redemption Song" with her son David.[125]
  • During the concert in Manchester, Madonna performed the intro to "Secret", on guitar, but then forgot the rest of the chords. On a fan's request, she sang "Open Your Heart" instead.[126] Prior to the concert, the video files for the show had become corrupted, resulting in a reboot of the whole system, which caused the show to begin late, resulting in several songs being cut from the set list.[127] The concert ended after "Material Girl".[126]
  • During the first concert in Mexico City, Madonna dedicated "Who's That Girl" to Frida Kahlo.[128] In the second night, the audience sang "Cielito Lindo" to Madonna.[129]
  • During the concert in Houston, Madonna performed David Bowie's "Rebel Rebel" as a tribute to him after his death.[130]
  • During the concert in Nashville, Madonna sang "Beautiful Stranger" and "Ring of Fire" a capella.[131][132]
  • During both concerts in Miami, Madonna performed "Don't Cry for Me Argentina".[133]
  • "Take a Bow" was added to the set list during the first concert in Taipei.[134][115]
  • During the second concert in Manila, Madonna performed "Crazy for You", as tribute to the 30th anniversary of the 1986 People Power Revolution.[135]
  • During the concert in Singapore, "Iconic", "Holy Water" and "Devil Pray" were removed from the set list. Additionally, Madonna performed "Crazy for You".[136]
  • During the first concert in Brisbane, Madonna performed "Can't Get You Out of My Head" and "Crazy for You".[137]
  • On the tour's final concert in Sydney, Madonna sang "Hanky Panky".[138]

Those were songs on her accustic section. The main show never changed.

Your avi reminds me how epic Shania's tour is. :heart2:

Full-length hits with a section dedicated to short renditions of deep cuts. Too bad Madonna decided to do the very opposite of that :rip:

That red outfit during Hung Up.

Btw WHERE are the Rain performance videos? There are none so far.

No Intervention :emofish:

Gonna try to snag cheap tickets as her date near me approaches. Not in love with the setlist but I’m just a casual fan and not a Stan so I’m sure the Stan’s love it

The fact that she still holds a grudge against me 4 years later and won't play Hard Candy songs :skull:

If we could all stop complaining about this nearly immaculate setlist for one moment, I'd like to ask if any of you found the Papa Don't Preach moment to be disturbing in the best way possible. The weird mask over the dancer's face, the uncanny valley combination of Hard Candy, Erotica, and Blond Ambition all at once, the PDP choreography in front of the LAV bed. That is exactly the type of thing I love to see Madonna doing and what she had done so incredibly well for much of her career.

It's the small, clever things like that that make me love her and make me so happy to see her focused. That 60 seconds alone tells a powerful story. So much grander than pretty much anything we saw with the last era.

She obviously skipped some songs because of the technical issues + singing Little Star for Lola's birthday.

It looks like an amazing show. I'm so happy she opens with a "ballad." That's what made the DWT so special imo.

The only thing I don't like so far is the red outfit and the wig for the Hung Up segment. I understand she wants to do a sexy/cabaret thing but it's so overdone, especially by her, and it looks a bit tacky or even has-been and old-fashion. The Ray of Light outfit and performance on the other side!!!! So different from her usual stage costumes, I love it!

Oh yeah this is way better than Madame X tour to me, no doubt.

99% of the people in here saw this on tiktok or those 3 pixels on instagram live. No one cares about context anymore, as long they get their bops lmao.

You're analysing things like most typical Madonna fans are though and yeah i thought the same tbh.

I do want to clarify I LOVE every track she did on this tour, it's just not the setlist I expected :bird:

That setlist is truly perfect! I just want her to add Sorry and possibly a song from Hard Candy! 4 Minutes would be amazing but it'd feel weird without Justin I think

Posted

And I'm so happy it's the standard version of Celebration. That's the only worry I had of the confirmed tracks.

The highlights are clearly the 90s songs for the lost RayOfLight/BedtimeStory/Erotica Tour

Bad Girl

Nothing Really Matter

Bedtime Story

Erotica

Those were also the most Madonna caliber performances + Live To Tell

The 80s stuff is clear she hates

I cant justfy the ending feels they forgot how to finish the show

Justin is on a revival roll-out so it would be cool if she brought him on stage to do 4 Minutes at least once. He's about to embark on his own solo tour soon so he could definitely use some more good PR.

I love every millisecond about this.

But still a shame she didn't do her other 4 hits. I'm so disappointed. I want my money back. :gaycat5:

I think this is a tour we're going to be analyzing for a very long time. There were so many of the tiniest references in this show, like the slats using during Don't Cry for Me Argentina, which I'm convinced sure was a nod to the MDNA cover. It's gonna take us all forever all the Easter eggs.

Love Shania down, but I actually hated her most recent tour for multiple reasons, but a big reason was the setlist. Same hits she’s performed on her last 4 tours, I like changing it up. I think this setlist did a great job of that. A mix of the necessary hits like Into The Groove, Vogue, Hung Up, Open Your Heart, Like a Prayer and the highly requested fan favorite singles like Bad Girl, Rain, Nothing Really Matters, etc. that have only been performed once or rarely. The only obvious omission that she needs to reconsider is Like a Virgin, but besides that I’m happy to see this show is still fresh with only old songs being performed.
