That show in person went OFF. Such a creative concept and the flow of the songs was amazing. I definitely think some songs might have been cut due to time as there’s a strict curfew and she had sound problems for a good 10 mins or so. Agreed the ending was really the only big let down. Kept waiting for Like a Virgin to start and then…that? And ***** I’m Madonna is a terrible ending song Yes, there are kinks in the show, but all in all, it was pretty phenomenal. It’s up there with one of her best. what were the best moments for you? Edited October 14, 2023 by stupidjock

It’s not really a GH tour but an autobiography via her back catalog. It’s cool. An extra thirty minutes would have help give it some breathing room

campelo Posted October 14, 2023 Posted October 14, 2023 I don't think she cut down anything, the rumour was 25 performances and we got exactly that number
poki Posted October 14, 2023 Posted October 14, 2023 The last time she did such a tour was like, 8 years ago so that also adds to why a lot of us are let down.
Elusive Chanteuse Posted October 14, 2023 Posted October 14, 2023 I think its really great this tour for fans. All the deep cuts and hits. 1

But JML I was like is this a interlude but she was just doing abstract stuff
LoveLiveMusic Posted October 14, 2023 Posted October 14, 2023 I only listened and watched the ceiling for the most part, but the show seems a good mix of songs though the flow seems pretty bad. Really surprised there wasn't Material Girl, Lucky Star, Express Yourself and that Like A Virgin was an interlude. I think the lower bowl is going to be a better option for me to see it all, based on the stage, being up close at one point then kinda loses its vantage when she's at the other side of the stage, or even being in the pit but then the Bedtime Story/Ray of Light cube is too massive.
poki Posted October 14, 2023 Posted October 14, 2023 Casue Madame X was 99% Madame X album while Rebel Heart was more varied.

Kinda surprised how that one doesn’t seem to have sat well with many people here. The Erotica bass went off. Justify My Love was super cool too. Bedtime Story was so unexpected and was so cool. Ray of Light Sasha Mix had me slayed. Don’t Cry for Me Argentina was pointless. As was I Will Survive. Nix those and make room for another hit or two. I do think a few more hits were needed and the flow of the show started to fall apart from Die Another Day onwards a bit. It was weird including Mother and Father. The production is really pretty incredible in person. I haven’t watched any videos yet, but I was blown away. 2 1
Uncatena Posted October 14, 2023 Posted October 14, 2023 also uhm, i love the idea of the screens but they literally block off entire pieces of stage for a good chunk of the audience it looks like??
Oktober Knight Posted October 14, 2023 Posted October 14, 2023 Tha haters in here dissing the setlist (which includes just about every major hit) and her not dancing enough when she's a 65 year old woman who just recovered from a near death experience. Grow up 2

Uncatena Posted October 14, 2023 Posted October 14, 2023 as someone with a ticket i’m genuinely upset i’m not going to hear Music live the first (and most likely last) time i see Madonna live… 1

T.O.A.D.S. Posted October 14, 2023 Posted October 14, 2023 The reviews in here are kinda weird - there’s a good chunk of 80s songs, deep cuts. I do think she should’ve included Frozen tho Ray of Light, Live to Tell, Die Another Day, Like a Virgin, Vogue, BIM, Open Your Heart were all highlights for me There were some sound difficulties before Open Your Heart and I wonder if she’s meant to sing more of Music at the end but only managed to do one line before of the curfew? She could’ve kept I Will Survive but everything else was perfect. So much energy, the concept is like a IRL documentary about her life. It really needs to be experienced live to see how incredible it is - BS and ROL were such a massive serve
campelo Posted October 14, 2023 Posted October 14, 2023 I just know I will die with bad girl, bedtime story, rain, mother and father and don't tell me
Alongoria13 Posted October 14, 2023 Posted October 14, 2023 People moaning about a show they saw through a shitty livestream GET REAL 1 1
