Ahhhh, how exciting. Based on rumors and the list she wrote around the time the tour was announced I’m gonna guess the three never performed on tour will be NRM, Bad Girl and Physical Attraction. Holding out hope for Rescue Me but I have a bad feeling Edited October 5, 2023 by BradySpears 1
poki Posted October 5, 2023 Posted October 5, 2023 Technically she did variations of What It Feels Like For A Girl BUT if she does the album version Spoiler That would mean all 3 main Music singles are on the tour cause Don't Tell Me was confirmed and Music was hinted back in the summer Is this favorite album these days????
poki Posted October 5, 2023 Posted October 5, 2023 If she does Drowned World I will get a tattoo for it. 2

Bubble Tea Posted October 5, 2023 Posted October 5, 2023 Randomly listening to MDNA this morning and hmm, it does have its cute moments but fairly boring for Madonna. What was going on with her in 2012? Such a weird album. Was she just keen to push something for the Super Bowl and rush recorded some random stuff? But then there are gems like "Love Spent" hiding on there. Now listening to Ray of Light UGH this masterpiece!! "Swim" my GOD we need it at this tour

"Swim" my GOD we need it at this tour The producer is Israeli and Madonna has a big connection to Israel so she probably wanted to make club music that Israel would love. Plus she probably really wanted to put to life the visuals of the tour so felt compelled to make new music. And of course Superbowl may have been tempting. I don't think MDNA was ever made with the intention of standing the test of time. Low key gives it a bit of charm in my eyes, the idea that Madonna was just living in the moment.
poki Posted October 6, 2023 Posted October 6, 2023 Whoever edited Drowned World tour should get to edit the blu-Ray (pleeeeeease) for Celebration Tour 1:24 The way she shows up with a shirt that reads MOTHER 2:04 Niki & Donna This fills me with LIFE

The album is one of her worst overall, but the highs are very high. Gang Bang is easily better than most songs that came out that year.
Lament Posted October 6, 2023 Posted October 6, 2023 Why would Drowned Madonna finish their piece of news with "Oh, and did we mention that Madonna's singing is simply flawless" ? I mean, it's gotten me very excited but does that mean she's been taking lessons again or something ? I mean, I don't think she's a terrible singer at all but it's weird to highlight that. It's Madonna we're talking about… I don't care if her vocals are flawless or not. (Though, after watching the Drowned World Tour again a few weeks ago, I was in awe with how precocious she was while singing. She was actually singing great. 1993-2003 is her vocal peak imo.) Since the show is supposed to tell the story of her life and evolution, how do you think it will go? Starting from nothing, becoming big, the hard times during Erotica, becoming a mother, finding a new path with kabbalah and motherhood, being rejected during AL, on top of the world again, being despised for being old, finally standing the test of time? If that's the case, I can see a final act including Everybody, Music and Celebration. What do you think Bob's role will be? He could be some kind of narrator, appearing on stage to tell her story in-between the acts. I'd love that! 1

He could be some kind of narrator, appearing on stage to tell her story in-between the acts. I'd love that! The description DrownedWorld gave sounded really good to me. I would love if she took lessons again: we don't come to Madonna for vocals specifically but we do come to her for the entire package and that includes her voice. Her voice also has led her to sing these great songs and distribute her message(s). Some of her vocals in the last decade have been great and some haven't been so good in my opinion, so I think her taking some lessons on improving her pitch and improving her breath support would do her wonders. I don't except a fully live show, but to hear her sing a few of the songs live to the best of her ability would be wonderful. She is known as a singer first after all. I also agree that 93-03 was her vocal peak, though she has had some great moments since then. I also think her voice from the 80s to the mid 90s was amazing too - her voice had so much personality - excitement and grit - and that helped make her stand out. I find the supposed biographical and musical tone of the show really intriguing because it's something new for her. She wanted to do a musical in the mid 00s though it didn't work out, and she wanted to create a biography recently that hasn't worked out, so this does make sense when I think about it. One way for her to create an autobiography on her own terms is to turn it into a show. I'm intrigued to see how her hits will fit into that. Most of them aren't inherently autobiographical, but they could be positioned as slightly autobiographical in some way as they showcase the type of person and artist Madonna is. I think what you said is very plausible and it's interesting to think how she'd tackle such a concept. I feel like she may have a club themed act with her dance music as she used to party in the late 70s / early 80s. And I also anticipate / hope for a church / Like A Prayer themed and Sex / Erotica themed act which would be on brand for a Madonna show! And I've read other people say a similar thing about Bob, he may be a narrator much like Kevin Jz Prodigy for Beyoncé's Renaissance. 2
