I didn’t know how this would do based on everyone’s TASTELESS first day opinions but talent ended up winning, as always. And good for Shakira too. Her longevity is unmatched Edited January 16, 2023 by luckythisway

Julia Fox Posted January 16, 2023 Posted January 16, 2023 (edited) The way you are all making a fight between the Miley, Shakira and Beyoncé (who tf has her to do here to start with) bases instead of celebrating how talented women with an already more than a decade of career (Shakira's even more) are winning and SMASHING in the streaming era with songs that went from heartbreak and delusion! I love them both and I’m so happy to see how 2023 has been so far when it comes to women in music! Miley deserves that 1 after serving some excellence (this song is too) and Shakira deserves it too because she’s proving that you can be successful at your mid 40's and with 30 years of career let’s hope this year keep surprising us with woman smashing and winning after terrible mumble trap and faceless smashes from mediocre men for YEARS without even trying. One relationship ended like 3 pr 4 years ago and the other one is recent I was referring to the Flowers lyrics being pretty generic break-up content, while the Shakira lyrics are very specific, more vicious and mention people by their names etc. Both great songs and incoming global smashes
